Ulju, Ulsan bakery café at 11am with a baby: fresh bread tables at MUG

Hi everyone! I went back with my baby to MUG, a large bakery café in Eonyang, Ulju-gun, Ulsan! It has a diaper-changing table and wide gaps between tables that make it easy to bring a stroller, so I revisited with my little one. Let me introduce MUG :)

What do the MUG exterior and parking lot look like?

MUG is finished in charred wood, giving it a distinctive black exterior. There's a large parking lot out front, along with palm trees and nicely arranged landscaping. There was plenty to look at even with a baby in tow.

On the day I visited, there was a Kim Miso portfolio exhibition going on, which made having coffee even more enjoyable since there was so much to look at. I thought it would be nice whether you come with a baby or with other adults — there's plenty to see if just drinking coffee gets boring :)

Can you take a stroller inside MUG? Seating and table spacing

Inside MUG, the gaps between tables are wide, so there's plenty of room for a baby chair or stroller! It's great for families, and there's also a bar table if you're coming to the café alone.

There are outdoor tables too, and the landscaping outside is kept neat, so it also works as a nice little walking course.

Where is the diaper-changing table at MUG?

Changing diapers is always a hassle when out with a baby... but MUG has a diaper-changing table, which makes it easy. It's located in a separate room next to the restroom, so it's private.

Check the photos for the menu! There's Americano ₩5,500, café latte ₩6,000, MUG lemon smoothie ₩7,000, MUG lemon ade ₩7,000, MUG black latte ₩7,500, plus seasonal and signature café items.

There's a microwave, a self-serve bread packing station, and a spot for utensils. The tables were kept very clean too!

Weekday 11am bread tables: when is the bread selection biggest?

There were so many kinds of bread I couldn't decide what to pick up... ㅠ.ㅠ Cakes, ciabatta-style breads, cinnamon rolls, and all kinds of desserts! For reference, I visited on a weekday around 11am and there was already a lot of bread out! Around 11:30, new batches of ciabatta came out too. I think visiting around lunchtime is a good idea before the popular bakery items run out :)

What we ordered at MUG: matcha latte, americano, apple cinnamon roll and basil tomato bread

We ordered a matcha latte, an americano, an apple cinnamon roll, and basil tomato bread :)

The organic Hadong matcha latte wasn't too sweet and was full of matcha flavor — exactly my taste! Nicely bitter and delicious :)

The americano had no burnt taste and no sourness, so it's a flavor anyone would like! It paired really well with the desserts.

The basil tomato bread had basil, tomato, olives, and cheese on a thick slice of bread — the sweet yet tangy tomato went really well with it!

The apple cinnamon roll at MUG

I was curious about this one since Eonyang is known for cinnamon rolls — the apple cinnamon roll! It has apple compote and cream cheese inside the roll.

When you pull the cinnamon roll apart, cinnamon is generously sprinkled between the layers, with cream cheese and apple compote spread underneath! It wasn't overly sweet, which made it even better :) I think it's sweet just enough to enjoy with adults too.
