Nansan-ri Restaurant is a reservation-only Western course restaurant in the quiet farming village of Nansan-ri, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo, Jeju. The Monday 13:00 second-seating lunch cost 76,000 won for two, with one diner adding 3,000 won to swap in basil pesto pasta, and arriving late meant a bar seat with a full view of the open kitchen. From the bracken butter and bread to the black pork tenderloin and milk pudding, the roughly one-hour course at Nansan-ri Restaurant was satisfying from first plate to last.

Seogwipo café with a before-11am coffee discount: Forest Jeongbang

Forest Jeongbang is an ocean-view and forest-view café in Seogwipo, Jeju, a 5-minute walk from Jeongbang Falls. Using the coffee discount that runs until 11am, we ordered a decaf Americano for 5,500 won and a Jeju black pork jambon sandwich for 13,000 won, then looked around the first and second floors and the terrace. With a large private parking lot and fair prices, Forest Jeongbang is an easy place to rest after seeing Jeongbang Falls.
