Seogwipo café with a before-11am coffee discount: Forest Jeongbang

Today I'm reviewing a café with a killer view in Jeju! It's a 5-minute walk from Jeongbang Falls, and I'd highly recommend it as a Jeju ocean-view café too.

There are lots of nearby attractions like Jeongbang Falls, Cheonjiyeon Falls, and Olle Market, so it's a perfect place to rest in between sightseeing. There's also a private parking lot, so even new drivers don't need to worry. I'd love to come back on my next trip to Jeju! 🌿

Forest Jeongbang is a two-story café on Chilsimni-ro 214beon-gil in Seogwipo, Jeju. It's right on the road, so you can spot it at a glance.

There's a really spacious parking lot! And honestly, even the parking lot has a great view..

The menu and the coffee discount before 11am

There was really a wide variety of menu items. First off, there's an early morning coffee discount! I remember it being ₩3,000 before 11am.

The dessert case had various slice cakes, sandwiches, and bakery items neatly displayed. Each one looked really carefully made! They looked so delicious. I picked this café for the ocean view and the sandwich haha

Ordering at the first-floor kiosk: what the café looks like

The 1st floor of Forest Jeongbang is split into an ordering area and a café seating area.

As soon as you walk in, you see a kiosk! You order there haha

Past the kiosk is the 1st floor café space. Right next to the ordering counter there's even a no-fail lottery draw event!

Little touches like that are fun. This is the 1st floor café space.

With such a variety of chairs and tables, it looked like it could accommodate all kinds of age groups. Good for an aesthetic café hangout or for just coming to relax comfortably.

They even have a high chair for babies!

First-floor ocean view through the window wall and the terrace

Forest Jeongbang's biggest strength is the ocean view,,

Through the floor-to-ceiling windows there's a gorgeous ocean view and forest view unfolding. Seeing the blue sea and the forest all at once made the space so healing.

What you see from the second-floor terrace: the Seogwipo sea

The 2nd floor of Forest Jeongbang has terrace seating. The layout is similar to the 1st floor.

The ocean view is even better from the 2nd floor!! As soon as you walk in, the Seogwipo sea visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows was really striking. Being able to enjoy both the ocean view and the forest view in one spot was so nice. Perfect for taking a relaxed break with a cup of tea.

On a nice day, sitting on the terrace with a coffee seems like it would be really relaxing.

The weather and the view come together to really maximize what this café has going for it haha

Decaf Americano and Jeju black pork jambon sandwich

Today's order was a decaf Americano for ₩5,500 and a Jeju black pork jambon sandwich for ₩13,000.

The decaf Americano had both nutty and acidic notes. Personally I really enjoyed it haha And then the jambon sandwich I'd been looking forward to!

They grill it fresh right after you order, so the cheese stretched a lot and the sandwich was warm and delicious..!! The jambon (ham) was also really tasty, but I felt like the cheese carried the flavor even more than the jambon itself! The base flavor is basil pesto haha Two of us split one and it was really filling..!

Is Forest Jeongbang worth a stop?

If you're looking for an ocean-view café near Jeongbang Falls, I recommend Forest Jeongbang! Ocean-view cafés often charge a lot for drinks, but Jeongbang had reasonable prices and convenient parking too,, I really liked it!

The café's interior itself has real character! It's not a huge place, but with such a variety of chairs and tables, being able to come regardless of group size feels like a big advantage~! If you want to soak up Jeju's vibe and spend some relaxed time, this is the best! I'd love to visit again next time I'm in Jeju.
