I visited Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju branch, a place truly "sincere" about pork cutlets, located in Naju's Innovation City! From the signature combos that are on a totally different level from a regular cutlet joint, to the absolutely massive portions, I fell hard haha. Let's start this honest, packed review! 💖

Where is Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju Innovation Branch, and where to park?
Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju Innovation Branch is at 10 Ujeong-ro, Bldg B, Room 101, Naju-si, Jeollanam-do, open daily 10:30–21:00 with last order at 20:30. The phone number is 061-930-4866.
Parking: you can self-register for 2 hours free at the building parking lot 🚗 Make sure to register on the tablet at the entrance before you leave!

Is there a wait for dinner at 8:10pm?
Normally this place is popular enough to have a wait, but I visited around 8:10pm, right before last order! Thanks to that I could eat leisurely with no wait at all haha. I checked out the menu and the signature cutlet visuals on the standing sign at the entrance before heading in~!

Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu exterior and dining room
I was really surprised at how spacious and pleasant the restaurant was! The tables have generous spacing and it's clean, making it perfect for a family meal, a date, or a gathering with friends. Given that pork cutlet is the kind of dish that goes with anything, this was also a great atmosphere to bring a kid along haha.

Ordering is done conveniently through the tablet at each table! (The menu was so varied I spent a while deciding 🤣)

Below the tablet there's a notice about how to use the self-serve bar and ongoing events, so make sure to check it out haha.

Adult tableware and fork/knife sets are neatly stored under the table haha.

Lettuce and ssamjang at the self-serve bar?
The self-serve bar at Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju Innovation Branch has broth, warm soup, kids' tableware, scissors, tongs, pickled radish, kimchi, plus — 'lettuce' and 'ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste)'. After ordering I headed to the self-serve bar, where I discovered the big twist that sets this place apart! 🥬💥
Isn't lettuce wraps at a pork cutlet place refreshingly new? My husband saw it and said, "Jeolla-do really has a lot of surprising combos, starting with fried lettuce all the way to cutlet wraps" lol.

Before the cutlets arrived, a warm, soft bowl of soup soothed our stomachs first.

There's also a baby chair and kids' tableware, so it's perfect for visiting with a child!

How big are the Jinsim Jjol and Cheese Waterfall pork cutlets?
On this visit I ordered two items from Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu — Jinsim Jjol Donkkaseu at ₩15,900 and Cheese Waterfall Donkkaseu at ₩16,900. I wanted both the cutlet and the spicy jjolmyeon (chewy noodles), so after much deliberation I went with this combo. The moment the dishes arrived, my jaw dropped. The portions are truly 'massive'!! 🔥

1️⃣ Jinsim Jjol Donkkaseu (pork cutlet with chewy noodles)
The best value-for-money menu where you get to enjoy jjolmyeon and cutlet at the same time! The clever addition of a 'ke-yonaise' cabbage salad was crunchy and comforting, and my kid loved it too. It was a combo that just kept going down without ever feeling greasy.
The tangy, sweet, spicy, chewy jjolmyeon noodles paired with a crispy cutlet — this is a foundational combo! There's no way it could taste bad haha.

2️⃣ Cheese Waterfall Donkkaseu
The moment I saw it in person, I fully understood why it's called 'cheese waterfall'!! As soon as I cut into it, savory cheese poured out like a waterfall from inside!
When I lifted a piece of the cutlet, the cheese stretched endlessly... 🤤 They say they only use HACCP-certified fresh Korean pork loin. Maybe that's why there was zero meaty smell and it was so moist, and it's fried at an optimal 170°C — the outside was crispy like snowflakes! The inside was pure moist, savory cheese.

The highlight: pork cutlet lettuce wraps
The highlight of Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu is the pork cutlet lettuce wrap, made with the lettuce from the self-serve bar. I wrapped a crisp golden piece of cutlet in fresh lettuce, added a dab of ssamjang and a chili, and tried it... any doubt about "will this even work?" vanished with the first bite!

The crunch and freshness of the lettuce completely cuts through the rich, oily flavor of the cutlet, creating a totally unique, addictive taste. If you come to Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu, you have to try the pork cutlet lettuce wrap!! (Highly recommend!)
Review event and self-serve takeout packing
Right now Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju branch is running a Naver receipt review event! Write a review and you get a free drink. On top of the already generous portions and reasonable prices, getting this kind of perk on top — isn't that just top-tier value? ✨
On one side of the restaurant, there were neatly prepared self-packing containers for taking leftover food home! Given how massive the portions here are, there must be plenty of people who can't finish their meal, so being able to pack up as much as you want without feeling self-conscious felt like a really thoughtful, clever touch. 📦✨

Verdict: Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu for a late, no-wait dinner
- Taste: ★★★★★ (crispy Korean pork loin + insane amount of cheese + the crazy combo of lettuce wraps)
- Portion: ★★★★★ (a true massive-king value for the name!)
- Hygiene/service: ★★★★★ (really spacious and clean, self-serve bar well maintained)
Pork cutlet is honestly a hard dish to mess up, but here, thanks to a patented handmade sauce, fresh Korean pork loin, and the special lettuce wrap, I left far more full and satisfied than I expected! A perfect Naju pork cutlet spot for going with kids, having a date, or a hearty meal with friends. If you're around Naju's Innovation City or craving a good pork cutlet, definitely visit Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju branch! 💖
