Downtowner Gangnam is a handmade burger shop on Teheran-ro 1-gil near Gangnam Station in Seoul. For a solo lunch at Downtowner Gangnam, the writer ordered the Welch's Downtowner Double Set and added sweet potato fries, a cup salad and a jumbo mozzarella stick, choosing cheddar sauce. The tables are generously spaced and many diners come alone, making Downtowner Gangnam a good pick for a filling solo burger lunch near Gangnam Station.

Hongdae Korean snack restaurant: cheese cutlet & tuna gimbap, Kimgane

Kimgane Donggyodong Samgeori branch (김가네 동교동삼거리점) is a Korean snack and rice restaurant at the Donggyodong Samgeori intersection near Hongik Univ. Station in Hongdae, Seoul. On the way home from work, the blogger ate alone at Kimgane and ordered three dishes: cheese pork cutlet, cheese Buldak jjolmyeon (spicy chewy noodles) and tuna gimbap (seaweed rice roll). Dipping the tuna gimbap into the jjolmyeon's thick sauce was the standout combination. Kimgane Donggyodong Samgeori is a good spot for a quiet, filling solo dinner.

For a solo dinner after work, the writer ordered the Hansang set meal with lemon soba and a small bossam, and alternating the cold lemon soba with the warm bossam kept the meal clean and never greasy to the last bite. Nagwon-ui Soba is a good choice when you want a quiet, easy-on-the-stomach meal alone in Chungmuro.

Ewha men's salon chocolate brown tone-down + square downperm: Eco Revy

Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch is a head spa hair salon on Ewhayeodae 2-gil in Seodaemun, Seoul, near Ewha Womans Univ. Station. The writer had a solo lunch there: a beef pasta protein box with extra chicken and a Welch's Grape, and the contrast between beef and chicken textures kept the meal from getting boring to the last bite.
