Lime beer and taco couple set at Taqueros, a Magok Mexican spot

The weather's been so nice lately I've been wandering around all over the place. Everyone enjoying autumn hard, right? haha I had to catch the airport railroad and ended up in Magok, and after a lot of deliberating over lunch, I found Taqueros!

Where is Taqueros Magok Main Branch, and is there parking?

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is near Magok Station Exit 3, so it's an easy walk from the station, and you can also use the building's parking lot, which made it fine for driving over too :)

I've been craving tacos a lot lately. Just a few tacos felt like not quite enough, and I wanted fajita alongside, so I looked around and ended up at Taqueros in Magok.

What the dining room at Taqueros feels like

Walking in, the space was bigger than I expected and, true to a Mexican restaurant, the exotic atmosphere kind of swept me up :b heh.. that's a good thing! It's a clearly different vibe from your usual restaurant, so it seemed like a good spot for a Magok date too?

Overall there's that distinctive exotic Mexican-restaurant feel, but it's warm and cozy too, which put me in a good mood.

It even had a bit of a local feel to it. (I've been to Mexico exactly 0 times.) Fun to look around at all the little props scattered around too -

There were tables of friends having a meal, and couples on dates too ^___^* People probably think I'm one of those too...? (Married 15 years)

They even had a seat set up nicely for me, so I got a good spot!

A spot like this in Magok! So good >_< One more place added to my list of spots to visit!

Ordering the Taqueros Signature Couple Set with a lime beer

You order through a QR code at the table, which made browsing the menu easy and actually felt pretty clean!

I ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set with lime beer and apple mango ade for drinks. Quite a generous spread for two people 💛🧡

Once seated, nachos come out as a default - and these things are absolute treasures ^.~ Crunchy nachos dipped in warm cheese sauce, the kind of taste that has you picking up piece after piece even before the food arrives. Since the cheese sauce is warm, it tasted better slathered on generously rather than just a light dip.

My pick was this lime beer 💚 With food like tacos or fajita that's got meat and sauce, if I don't drink beer with it I feel too sorry to go home..ㅠ ^ㅜ The lime gives it a refreshing edge, so a sip between bites of meat makes your mouth feel clean again.

If you like tacos with beer, this combo is great! The apple mango ade I ordered alongside was rich and sweet too and paired well with the tacos. If you can't drink, definitely order the apple mango ade too (⭐️ set discount going on now)

The fajita: wrapping each tortilla at the table

After a short wait, the main dishes finally arrived! When everything's laid out on the table at once, the visual is..next level.. What I was most looking forward to was definitely the fajita. Add the sauce on top and every bite gets pretty rich and layered. Above all, fajita tastes best when you wrap a little at a time as you eat, rather than making it all at once. Putting meat and vegetables straight onto warm tortillas gives it that just-made feeling too 😉

With fajita, you get to pick each ingredient - various meats, sautéed vegetables, rice - and wrap it yourself, which is part of the fun.

Meat on the tortilla, then vegetables, then sauce to taste, roll it up, and done!

At first I made them looking somewhat neat, but as I kept eating I just started piling everything in lol

Yeah, this kind of thing tastes best loaded up 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 The meat was savory and salty but not greasy, and having the sautéed vegetables in there gave it good texture too.

Can you refill sauces and tortillas at Taqueros?

Except for guacamole, all sauces are refillable - there was plenty already, so this was already a lot!

And tortillas too! They're refillable but... somehow I never actually got a refill and left some behind ? ㅠ ㅠ These were genuinely so chewy and delicious! I should've had just one more.. more.. more..regret-mode activated again

Fish taco vs chicken taco: which one wins?

Tacos really do seem like a food you eat with your eyes too! So fresh and pretty 🍀

And of course the tacos can't be left out. From our order, the fish taco and chicken taco!

The fish taco had crispy fried fish inside, so it was good in a totally different way from the fajita. Crispy outside, soft fish inside, and I was hooked.. The chicken taco had a more familiar flavor, so I think it'd be a good pick for someone trying tacos for the first time.

Is the Signature Couple Set worth it for two?

It was great getting to try a bit of everything - from fajita to fish taco to chicken taco. The Taqueros Signature Couple Set seems like a nice setup if you visit with someone and want to try a variety of dishes. Tacos alone can feel a bit lacking, but adding fajita on top definitely made it feel like a full meal, and sharing dishes between two people was part of the fun haha.

Mexican food isn't something I eat often, so it's nice to have something different like this once in a while.
