Brunch café near Deokjeong Station, Yangju: mirror photos at Doasis

Today I'm sharing my visit to Doasis (DOASIS), an emotional little spot I found near Deokjeong Station in Yangju that lives up to its name, a refreshing oasis for everyday life. Anyone else a bit tired of the cookie-cutter big cafés that keep showing up on Instagram and blogs?

Thanks to its one-of-a-kind interior, like a secret garden hidden in the middle of the city, and its cozy mood, Doasis is already getting lots of word of mouth among couples in their 20s and 30s and Yangju moms. I explored every corner myself, so here's my review.

What's the atmosphere at Doasis in Yangju? A plant-filled urban oasis

Doasis is a plant café decorated with wood-tone furniture and plant-terior. As the name suggests, the moment you step in, you leave the concrete jungle behind and feel like you've arrived at a small green resort. "A whole different world the second you open the door!"

• Natural light heaven: warm sun through the big windows makes photos come out bright and glowing!

Most blog reviews just say "pretty" or "nice vibe," but what I felt was Doasis's real charm: the coziness and the visual openness of the space. Noise doesn't echo much and the chairs are comfortable, so I felt no fatigue at all even after staying a long time.

What's on the Doasis menu? Einspänner, ades and a bakery like a bread shop

Doasis's signature drinks are the einspänner (cream-topped coffee) and an ade lineup, and there are freshly baked breads and brunch dishes too. It's not just good-looking; I could feel the care that went into each item, which made me even happier. ☕

There's a really wide variety of bread. Everyone's taste is different and everyone likes different breads, and with so many people coming here, if nobody told you, you might mistake Doasis for a bakery. I'd say it's a café with more bread than any bakery in town.

Brunch at Doasis: shrimp tomato pasta and cream mushroom pasta

For brunch at Doasis I ordered the shrimp tomato pasta and the cream mushroom pasta. The many breads would have been enough on their own, but my goal for this visit was the leisure of enjoying brunch. Even the bread to eat after the meal was perfect.

I wondered: what if I had ordered bread to dip in the cream mushroom pasta sauce? There were so many ways to combine things, and I think I didn't think it through. Next visit, I'll try the cream pasta and bread-dipping combo.
