Korean restaurant near Wonju Sogeumsan for post-hike codari naengmyeon

Singi Arrowroot Naengmyeon & Jjukkumi is a Korean restaurant in Munmak, Wonju, Gangwon, specializing in codari naengmyeon (pollack-topped cold noodles) and jjukkumi (spicy stir-fried baby octopus). After spending 2-3 hours exploring Sogeumsan's suspension bridges, a large portion of codari bibim naengmyeon and jjukkumi for two made for a hearty lunch, with the muksabal (acorn jelly soup) and daejeop-bap (rice served in a large bowl for mixing) standing out while waiting. It has its own parking lot and sits close to Munmak IC, making it a convenient stop before getting on the highway after visiting Sogeumsan.

Grilled octopus lunch near Nami Island in Gapyeong: Paldang Jikhwa Bul

Paldang Jikhwa Bul Jjukkumi is a Korean restaurant in Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong, Gyeonggi, specializing in griddle-fried jjukkumi (baby octopus). After touring Nami Island, the writer ordered jikhwa bul jjukkumi (fire-grilled spicy octopus) with steamed egg, wrapping it in perilla leaves with pickled radish and flying fish roe, plus unlimited banchan from a self-serve bar. With a large parking lot and Petite France and Cheongpyeong Lake just 10–15 minutes away, it's a solid lunch stop on a Gapyeong day trip.
