Inside Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch: good for family and group meals?
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is quite large, so it looked fine for family meals or get-togethers with a bunch of people.

The place is pretty spacious with lots of tables, and the partitions are well done, so it almost feels like eating in a private room~ And since it's not only sushi but everything from hot food to dessert, I think someone who loves sushi and someone who doesn't can go together and each find something to eat!

Maybe that's why Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is said to handle all kinds of events too! Group rooms, birthday parties, receptions and first-birthday (doljanchi) parties are reportedly possible, so if you're looking for an event venue in Nowon, take note~!
What I ate at the Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch weekday dinner
Sushi and rolls: salmon sushi with thick slices of fish

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a good range of basic sushi like salmon, flounder, shrimp and egg, plus several kinds of rolls and gunkan (sushi "battleship" cups), so you can pick to your taste. Of course, since I came to Kuu Kuu, sushi went on my plate first 🍣
That day I took a mix of salmon sushi, shrimp sushi and white fish, and overall the fish slices were thick and had a real long-tail sushi feel, so I was totally satisfied! The salmon, which I love, was soft and rich, and I ate until I was stuffed 🤭
Seafood: shrimp and weekday dinner raw salmon sashimi

Besides sushi, Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a variety of seafood. As in the photo, shrimp is set out separately, and at weekday dinner you can reportedly also find raw salmon sashimi. Salmon as sushi and salmon as sashimi feel different, so if you like salmon, you might try both.
Hot food: from fried shrimp to cream shrimp

If you keep eating only sushi, you start craving other food in between, right? haha Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had quite a varied hot food corner.

There were shrimp dishes, fried items, assorted stir-fries and Chinese-style dishes. The shrimp really caught my eye 🦐 There was fried shrimp, a spicy-sauce shrimp dish and cream shrimp, so shrimp lovers can pick from several.
The fried items were varied too. As you can see in the photo, it's not just one dish but several kinds, so I went sushi, a bit of hot food, sushi again, haha, and the plates just kept piling up 🤣
Pizza and pasta: dishes kids will eat too

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had pizza too 🍕 There were things kids would like, such as pepperoni pizza, and

besides pizza there were pasta, assorted fried food and stir-fries, so I liked that a family visiting together has something for everyone from kids to adults.
Salad and side dishes

Eating only rich food gets old fast, but Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a good selection of salads and side items too.

You can put together vegetables, fruit, nuts, sauces and more however you like, and it was nice for resetting my taste buds in between.
Dessert at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch: ice cream and DIY bingsu

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has such a variety of desserts that you could almost call it a dessert place 🍨 There were several kinds of ice cream, with different flavors sorted by color. As in the photo there were lots of flavors, so I tried a little of each, and after filling up on sushi and hot food, finishing with ice cream was just perfect, haha

There's also a corner where you can make your own bingsu (shaved ice), with toppings like red bean, roasted soybean powder and fruit. I threw in a bit of everything to make a bingsu, and you know how there's always room for dessert even when you're full, hahaha And the fruit and other toppings were varied too, so you can combine them to your taste.

On top of that there was slush and sikhye (sweet rice punch)... There were a lot of guests who brought kids, and I think I can see why! Baby chairs are available too, so I really recommend it for family gatherings! Hot food → fruit → ice cream → bingsu, a place where you can eat properly right through the finish. Thanks to Kuu Kuu Nowon, I'm a happy stuffed belly.

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a varied menu overall: not only sushi but seafood, hot food, fried dishes, pizza, salad, fruit and ice cream. With a buffet, when several people go, everyone often wants something different. Here, sushi fans can eat sushi, hot food fans can eat hot food, and everyone gets dessert at the end, so it looked fine for family meals or a group.
I visited for the weekday dinner, and it was fun picking a little of everything, from sushi to hot food to dessert 🍣 If you're looking for a sushi buffet in Nowon where you can enjoy sushi, plenty of hot food and desserts all in one place, Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is worth a visit!
