My boyfriend and I went to look at hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), and before heading home we decided to eat in Apgujeong for the first time in a while. Eulji Darak (을지다락) was the place! I'd only been eating drinking snacks lately and wanted pasta somewhere with a nice atmosphere, so I searched for a good Apgujeong pasta place and came here. The mood and the food were both a thumbs up.

What's the atmosphere like inside Eulji Darak?

We came at an in-between hour, so it wasn't crowded, but watching people gradually fill up the room, I thought, yes, this really is a top Apgujeong pasta place. Though they were all couples, haha. That's how good the mood was. Eating somewhere this nice with my boyfriend after so long made it even more exciting.

As you'd expect from an Apgujeong pasta spot, Eulji Darak has a really wide range of pastas! I wanted gnocchi, pasta and steak all at once, so I gave up on the gnocchi and went with just two dishes.

How does the brisket perilla oil pasta taste?

I figured a yummy cream pasta would feel heavy, so I ordered an oil pasta! The brisket perilla oil pasta is an unusual oil-based pasta flavored with brisket, perilla powder and perilla leaves, and it was packed with the leaves, so the fragrant aroma was amazing.

There's an egg yolk on top, so the look is up, the mellow flavor is up,,, the noodles were cooked nicely too, and the perilla leaf aroma was so good it tasted like something from a fancy restaurant.

Chopped pork neck steak: what's on the plate and how big is it

The chopped pork neck steak (₩22,000) is one of the signature dishes at Eulji Darak! The price is great too: premium grilled pork neck served with assorted grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes.

Look at how it looks, seriously... and all this for around ₩40,000. Such a great deal: generous portions, a stunning look, great value, and the taste was amazing too.

The portions are huge and the mood is lovely, so just sitting there eating made me so happy..!!! 🫶🏻💗

The brisket perilla oil pasta really was loaded with brisket, so good. It had the salty seasoning no Korean can resist, a proper sweet-and-salty pasta! It's one of Eulji Darak's signature dishes, and I could see why.

Even though it's an oil pasta, it wasn't greasy, and the fragrant perilla leaves made it feel more refined. The brisket was perfectly chewy, so I think nobody would dislike it.

Eat the chopped pork neck steak with wasabi

They said the pork neck steak uses a top-grade cut, and even though it's pork neck, it wasn't dry at all and melted in my mouth. It's good on its own, but there's wasabi underneath, and if you put a little on top you can eat it endlessly 🫶🏻💗

Personally I like eating with vegetables, and they grill broccoli, zucchini and bell pepper alongside, which is perfect with the steak. The mashed potatoes make it even softer, and with so many combinations you never get tired of it. It was my boyfriend's number one pick.

Would I go back to Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park?

The two of us scraped the plates clean at Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park! The prices are very kind and the portions big, so we ate until we were stuffed. The atmosphere and the food were great and the owner was friendly, so I'll probably visit often whenever I'm in Apgujeong, haha. Amazing value, and the tableware is so pretty I fell for it. I highly recommend it :)
