Odeng Osaek Gangnam Station Branch is at 42 Seocho-daero 73-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul, 1st floor, units 105 and 106. It's open Sunday to Friday from 16:00 to 02:00 (last order 01:00) and Saturday from 16:00 to 04:00 (last order 03:00). You don't need a reservation, but there may be a wait when you go!

First impressions of the exterior

Odeng Osaek Gangnam Station Branch sits between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's easy to reach and perfect for meeting up with friends! The delicious smell drifting from the entrance and the warm lighting already had my heart fluttering! I was full of anticipation about how the rich handmade oden from Busan would taste, just from the vibe outside!

Inside the bar and the individual broth system

At Odeng Osaek Gangnam Station Branch, fresh broth is made separately for every order. It isn't a shared broth tub that everyone dips into, so it feels much cleaner. The inside is tidy and cozy, a perfect mood for chatting quietly after work when you're worn out! Above all, the hygienic system makes it hard to compare with a regular oden bar, and I really loved this individual broth!

How do the oden and broth taste?

Odeng Osaek says it selects only premium oden with an exceptional fish content. From authentic handmade fish cakes to Japanese-style oden and mala oden, the menu is really well stocked, so if you like oden you absolutely have to stop by!

There are two broths, mild and spicy, and neither is bland. Both have a truly deep, rich flavor! For the record, I ate the couple set!

Odeng Osaek's signature snacks include agedashi tofu (deep-fried tofu in broth), okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake), and Osaek-style yuringi (fried chicken with a soy-vinegar sauce). Since every dish is made from a carefully chosen recipe, it's a whole different dining experience from ordinary bar snacks!
