Namyangju noodle spot before closing: cuttlefish bulgogi rice at Gojip
In short
Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch is a seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant in Byeollae, Namyangju, serving noodles and dishes made with octopus and cuttlefish. Arriving just before closing, the writer ordered small cuttlefish bulgogi (37,000 won), fried cuttlefish and clam kalguksu, and because the kitchen had already closed, mixed plain rice with the bean sprouts and sauce instead of ordering fried rice. Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu serves portions so generous that the leftovers were packed up and lasted into the next day.

What is Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch?
Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch is a place in Byeollae, Namyangju that serves everything from kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) to cuttlefish dishes, using pricier ingredients like octopus and cuttlefish. I was looking for a lunch spot in Byeollae and ended up here — if you love seafood, there's a lot of fun in picking the menu. Let me show you right away...!!

You can enjoy everything from kalguksu to cuttlefish dishes here, so it seemed like a good spot for a group to share several dishes together.
What did I order, and how much?
I ordered four things at Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch.
- Cuttlefish bulgogi (small) ₩37,000
- Fried cuttlefish ₩16,000
- Mussel clam kalguksu ₩9,000
- Plain rice ₩1,000

What's the difference between the lunch special and regular cuttlefish bulgogi?
The lunch special version of the cuttlefish bulgogi comes with rice included, while the regular menu version doesn't include rice but gives you more cuttlefish instead, apparently.

How were the fried cuttlefish and mussel clam kalguksu?
The fried cuttlefish was plump and generously sized, and since it's prepared differently from the main cuttlefish bulgogi, it worked well as a side dish alongside it. With several dishes ordered to share, the table ended up completely full. Side dishes included yeolmu kimchi (young radish greens kimchi), napa cabbage kimchi, seaweed, bean sprouts, and garlic mayo.
Last, I ordered the mussel clam kalguksu too, and after the spicy cuttlefish bulgogi, pairing it with a warm soup dish was such a good combo — highly recommend it. The kalguksu portion for one person was seriously so generous I had to double-check it was really a single serving — total value for money...!! It was packed with clams too, and the visual was amazing.
Rice mix instead of fried rice, and a story about visiting right before closing
At Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch, the menu isn't fixed to just one combination, so it was easy to mix and match to my taste. Between the cuttlefish bulgogi, fried cuttlefish, and mussel clam kalguksu, I was already so full, but I felt like I'd regret it forever if I left without eating fried rice with this sauce... I tried to order it, but I'd come too late and the kitchen had stopped making it, so I ordered plain rice instead. I mixed it with the bean sprouts and sauce, and honestly, it was still really delicious.

Who's it good for, and what should first-timers check?
Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch seems like an easy place to pick dishes whether you're going with friends to share several menu items or eating with family. If it's your first visit, it's worth checking the difference between the cuttlefish bulgogi lunch special and the regular menu before ordering. Key point: the special includes rice, while the regular menu gives you more cuttlefish instead of rice!

Right outside the restaurant, just to the left, there are outdoor restrooms separated by gender.

What about waiting, break time, and parking?
Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00, and closed on Wednesdays. It's noted that visiting right at opening at 11 a.m. or at 5 p.m. means barely any wait. It's definitely worth checking the hours before you go. I went right before closing time and was surprised customers kept coming in anyway~
Parking is available, but be careful. It seems people often park, walk down the stairs, and accidentally wander into the neighboring barbecue or galbitang (short rib soup) restaurants by mistake.
Can you take leftovers to go if the portions are too much?
Oh, right...!! I had so much food left over at Gojip Tongmuneo Kalguksu Byeollae Byeolgaram Station Branch that I packed it to go, and it was still delicious the next day haha. The portions are seriously generous! If you're near Byeollae Byeolgaram Station looking for a place to enjoy cuttlefish dishes and kalguksu together, this is worth keeping in mind. Next time I want to come back and try the whole octopus seafood kalguksu.
