24-hour Bupyeong gamjatang house, sweet stone-pot ppyeojjim: Eolkeuni
In short
Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch (얼큰이감자탕삼겹살 부평역점) is a 24-hour gamjatang (pork bone stew) and samgyeopsal (pork belly) restaurant on the ground floor of a building near Bupyeong Station in Incheon. Having only ever eaten gamjatang there, the writer ordered the stone-pot ppyeojjim (braised pork bones, 33,000 won) for the first time and loved the sweet, rich broth, tender meat, the cheese-topped steamed egg served alongside and a packed 1,000-won bowl of rice. With good taste, portions and price plus a kind owner, Eolkeuni is a Bupyeong Station ppyeojjim spot worth returning to.

Today I'm sharing an honest review of a satisfying, filling meal at Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch near Bupyeong Station!
Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station: location and hours
Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch is on the 1st floor of a building near Bupyeong Station, at 5 Gyeongwondae-ro 1403beon-gil, Bupyeong-gu, Incheon. It's open every day from 00:00 to 24:00, and there's no parking available.
The outdoor-facing, 'yajang' (open-air-style) seating gives it a nice atmosphere too.

It's nice that you can check the menu from outside the restaurant.

How big is Eolkeuni inside, and is there a wait?
The inside of Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch is quite spacious, with around 10 tables. During peak hours there are enough customers that you might have to wait — that's how popular it is.

It was fun that they let you see the ingredients that go into the food.

True to its name, you can get a good look at the different cuts of meat, since the place serves samgyeopsal (pork belly) as well as gamjatang.
Eolkeuni menu and the eolgamsam pork belly combo
The menu at Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch is really varied — gamjatang, ppyeojjim (bone stew), ppyeogui (grilled bones), samgyeopsal, minari shrimp pancake, and more. There are plenty of rice dishes as well as good options for drinking snacks.

There's so much on the menu that it's easy to get torn between wanting gamjatang and samgyeopsal, my two favorites — but Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch solves that with 'eolgamsam': order samgyeopsal and you get eolkeuni gamjatang together with it!!

Side dishes and the self-serve bar
The side dishes come out in just the right portions. The napa cabbage kimchi was especially tasty, so I ate a lot of it.

Side dishes can also be refilled at the self-serve bar.
- Stone-pot ppyeojjim (bone stew) ₩33,000
- Rice bowl ₩1,000
The ppyeojjim I ordered arrived giving off a really delicious smell.
Check out the video for the menu and listen to the music too. The songs and the vibe are totally retro 80s-90s haha, so much my style — maybe the owner's from the same generation.

What does Eolkeuni's stone-pot ppyeojjim taste like?
The stone-pot ppyeojjim (₩33,000) at Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch comes with a shallow layer of broth in the stone pot, a generous amount of meat, and bean sprouts on top.

I've always just ordered gamjatang, so this was my first time trying ppyeojjim — while jikhwa ppyeogui (grilled bones) tend to be spicy, ppyeojjim is on the sweeter side, a flavor women would probably love.

Best of all, the meat comes perfectly cooked so it practically falls off the bone in soft crumbles, and the meat itself wasn't dry at all — it was tender and easy to eat. Each piece of meat was huge, too.

The broth was truly rich, deep and thick — spicy and sweet at the same time — making this stone-pot ppyeojjim great both as a meal and as a drinking snack.

The meat is moist and tender, and dipping it in the sauce that comes with it makes this stone-pot ppyeojjim from Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch even better.

How big is the 1,000-won bowl of rice?
Even at just ₩1,000, the rice bowl at Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch is packed so full that finishing it alone will fill you up.

Mixing the rice with the ppyeojjim broth and meat, mashing in the potato, and stirring it all together is pure heaven — this stone-pot ppyeojjim, why haven't you tried it yet??

Does the stone-pot ppyeojjim come with steamed egg?
Yes, at Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch, ordering ppyeojjim also gets you a steamed egg. Isn't ₩33,000 an amazing price for all of this?
The steamed egg that came with it was also exactly my style — moist inside, with cheese on top making it salty and delicious, so good I wanted to order more.
A friendly owner and why I'd go back to Eolkeuni
At Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch, it's not just the food that tastes great and the atmosphere that's nice — above all, the owner is friendly on another level.
They explained the menu so kindly, and caught and responded to every little bit of discomfort or difficulty I had, and honestly... it made me think I have to come back here.

Really, there's nothing lacking here — the taste, the portions, the price are all great, and the owner is kind, and the stone-pot ppyeojjim is genuinely delicious. Next time I want to order beer and have samgyeopsal too. For anyone looking for good food, a good bar, or gamjatang, samgyeopsal and ppyeojjim near Bupyeong Station, I recommend Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch.
