Michuhol, Incheon café: salt bread & Basque cheesecake at Tiny Dot

In short

Tiny Dot is a four-floor café on a side street in Hagik-dong, Michuhol, Incheon, with a counter on the 1st floor, seating on the 2nd and 3rd floors and a reservation-only 4th-floor rental space. Sitting alone on the quiet 3rd floor, the writer tried Tiny Dot's millstone-ground matcha latte, Basque cheesecake and a salt bread that was still available in the evening. Tiny Dot's Basque cheesecake was good enough to change the mind of someone who disliked cheesecake, making this a very satisfying visit.

Today I'm sharing my honest review of Tiny Dot (타이니닷), a big café in Juan, in Hagik-dong, Michuhol, where I had some great drinks and desserts!

Where is Tiny Dot, and how does the mood differ on each floor?

Tiny Dot sits on a side street in Hagik-dong, Michuhol, so it's easy to reach by public transport. It's a big café with four floors. The 1st floor is the counter, and the 2nd and 3rd floors have lots of tables: 2F feels lively and noisy, 3F is quiet, so pick whichever suits you. The 4th floor is for groups and has to be reserved in advance. I heard it can be rented for ₩60,000 for 2 hours.

The 1F counter felt like a whole other world, with so many fascinating things to look at. It was definitely different from other cafés.

I could even see some old coffee machines, and it gave me the feeling that they're seriously into coffee.

Seating inside 2F at Tiny Dot

The inside of the 2nd floor is very clean too, with the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to sit for a long time.

On the 3rd floor there's a tree in the middle, the air felt good, the mood was lovely, and the soft music playing was just perfect.

Can you choose or buy coffee beans at Tiny Dot?

Tiny Dot has a really wide variety of coffee machines, and you can choose your beans. It's a café that's serious about coffee, the kind you'd want to come back to again and again.

What's on the Tiny Dot menu?

Tiny Dot is serious not just about coffee but about all kinds of drinks, and there were even items I'd never seen elsewhere, like Sesame Dot (참깨닷) and Perilla Dot (들깨닷).

The prices on the menu are reasonable too. They sell plenty of drinks besides coffee, but since this is a coffee hotspot, coffee is the best pick!!

Another thing that caught my eye was the millstone!! Wait... a millstone in a café!? Turns out they grind the matcha powder for the matcha latte with it every morning!!! I found that so fascinating.

Tiny Dot also sells cheesecake and salt bread (a soft, buttery salted roll), but I heard the salt bread usually sells out early. On the day I went, luckily it was still there in the evening, which was great!

Tiny Dot, so serious about coffee, turned out to be a kind-hearted Incheon café that works hard at volunteering too. It makes me want to support them even more.

Which floor is best for going alone?

If you want to rest quietly by yourself, 3F at Tiny Dot is the place. Since it's a big four-floor café you move around by elevator, and I liked that the elevator even has a spot to set down your tray.

I wanted to enjoy some time alone on a quiet floor, so I headed up to 3F, and the atmosphere was insane.

Quiet, cozy seating on 3F at Tiny Dot

I was completely taken by the nice lighting and cozy mood, and everyone on 3F was a solo guest like me, sitting and enjoying themselves. It felt so relaxed and comfortable that I wanted to come back.

Everything I ordered was delicious, and it wasn't just pretty to look at, the taste was perfect too.

How does the Tiny Dot millstone matcha latte taste?

The Tiny Dot matcha latte is made with matcha ground by hand on the millstone, so it was nuttier and tastier!! Maybe because I'd seen the performance, I was even more satisfied!

The aroma and flavor were very rich and deep, and I fell for the Tiny Dot matcha latte. This place is the real deal.

Is the Basque cheesecake okay if you don't like cheesecake?

I originally don't like cheesecake, but after trying the Tiny Dot Basque cheesecake, I've started to like it.

That's how good it was: the cheese flavor was strong, the cheese was thick and rich, and it melted in my mouth.

Tiny Dot salt bread

The Tiny Dot salt bread was also mild yet nutty and delicious, perfect to order with a coffee.

Is Tiny Dot worth going back to?

They're running a review event too, so join in and get your reward~!!

The taste is good, the mood is good, the prices are reasonable, and the owner and staff were incredibly kind. Nothing was lacking!! I was so satisfied with Tiny Dot in Hagik-dong that I'm going again, and I recommend it if you're looking for an Incheon café or a big café in Incheon.
