Eunpyeong Korean BBQ with anchovy-brined garlic: Yukjjip, Seoul
Yukjjip is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Bulgwangcheon-gil in Eunpyeong, Seoul, just across the bridge from Eungam Station Exit 4. On a third visit, the order was three servings of whole pork belly (tongsamgyeop) plus a yeolmu bibimbap and doenjang jjigae set, with staff grilling the meat from start to finish and garlic steeped in anchovy brine and salted shrimp relish on the side. Yukjjip suits both family meals and work dinners, and the doenjang jjigae is worth adding.
