Pyeongtaek octopus kalguksu with mushroom and beef: Songdam Kalguksu
Songdam Kalguksu is a kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant on Gangbyeon-ro in Anjung-eup, Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi, certified as a good-value business by the local government. On a weekend lunch visit, two servings of octopus kalguksu came with extra vegetables, mushrooms and beef, followed by egg porridge, and barley rice plus corn rice bread arrived free, one each per person. There is a wait, but the portions and freebies at Songdam Kalguksu make it an easy family lunch for the price.
