Sadang after-work izakaya: flounder mulhoe in acorn jelly soup, Susan

Susan Sadang Main Branch (수산 사당본점) is an aged sashimi and beef sashimi izakaya in an alley off Sadang Station Exit 8 in Dongjak, Seoul. After work with a colleague, the writer ordered the gwangban-yuksa (half flounder, half beef sashimi, 48,000 won) and a muksabal (chilled acorn jelly soup) that was free with a review event. The thick, unbrowned beef sashimi and aged flounder put any worries about raw food to rest. Dropping the leftover flounder into the muksabal to eat it like mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) made Susan Sadang Main Branch a satisfying Sadang bar.
