Namyangju galbi restaurant, torch-seared with cod roe sauce: Udontan
Udontan Dasan Main Branch is a galbi (marinated grilled ribs) restaurant on Dasan-jungang-ro in Namyangju, Gyeonggi, near Dasan Station. The order was two servings of donto galbi, a ttukbaegi han-don kimchi jjigae (pork kimchi stew in an earthenware pot) and finishing fried rice, and staff grilled the ribs from start to finish before hitting them with a torch for smoky flavor — the sweet-salty pairing with the cod roe sauce was the most memorable part. Even the side dishes at Udontan got wiped clean, making it a satisfying neighborhood galbi spot.
