Suwon Station tonkatsu with apple-carrot sauce: Gohobi Katsu

Gohobi Katsu is a Japanese tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) restaurant on Maesan-ro near Suwon Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi. At Gohobi Katsu's bar seating the writer had the hire katsu (pork tenderloin cutlet) set for 14,000 won and the cordon bleu katsu for 16,000 won, and especially loved the apple-carrot salad sauce on the table and the spicy tonkatsu sauce staff bring on request. Thanks to a hire katsu that is never dry, Gohobi Katsu is worth returning to, even for a solo meal.

Suwon café near Lotte Dept. Store: Milano Americanos in a pot, Tteum

Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station is a café and dessert shop on Sehwa-ro 154beon-gil in Suwon, near Lotte Department Store at Suwon Station. Two Milano blend Americanos (₩5,500) arrived in pretty ice glasses with a big pot, and the chocolate ice cream croffle (₩11,900) was crisp outside and chewy inside, with bits of chocolate to bite into. Tteum Café is a good pick near Suwon Station for a croffle with coffee from a choice of beans.

Suwon café with slushy coconut latte and decaf summer latte: Hongrad

Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch is a spacious café on the 4th floor of the Dodam Building near Mangpo Station in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, open daily from 10am to 11pm. A regular who has lost count of her visits ordered the coconut latte (₩7,000), the decaf summer latte with a ₩500 decaf upcharge (₩7,500) and the Ex-Boyfriend Toast (₩7,000), and named the slushy coconut latte her favorite item on the menu. For coconut coffee or a decaf that still tastes strong, Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch is worth recommending.
