Why stay at Luna Beach Seonjae on the way to a Daebu-do mudflat experience?
On our way to do a mudflat experience with my kid on Daebu-do, we booked one night at Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension near the mudflat area. It's quite a distance from our house to Daebu-do, so just doing the mudflat experience and heading straight back home felt like it wouldn't be enough. So we decided to take our time and stay overnight.
Luna Beach Seonjae is a dog-friendly pension, so my kid also had a blast playing with the cute dogs there. 🐶

Luna Beach Seonjae had plenty of parking space, which made things easy. Having opened in May 2025, the whole place felt clean and pleasant.

What are the room rates and review event like at Luna Beach Seonjae?
Luna Beach Seonjae didn't have a separate room price list posted at check-in, but you can check room prices by day of the week on Naver Reservations. If you're planning to visit, it's worth comparing prices in advance before booking.
When I visited, there was also a review event running. Write a review and finish tidying up the room, and you could get ₩20,000 back as cashback. If you're planning to write a review after your stay, it's worth checking the event details at check-in.

What amenities and facilities does the lobby have?
The lobby at Luna Beach Seonjae had extra towels, disposable toothbrushes, and other necessities on hand. Since it's a dog-friendly pension, there were even dog pee pads available. You could grab whatever you needed right from the lobby, which was handy for anything I'd forgotten to pack.

The first floor also had a karaoke machine and a pool table. It's nice to have facilities like this to enjoy inside the pension itself, great for visiting with family or friends. Unfortunately, we spent so much time running around outside with my kid that we were busy washing up and resting once we got back to the room, so we didn't get a chance to play here. 😆

Is it okay to visit without a dog?
In front of the lobby at Luna Beach Seonjae, there's a spacious area where dogs can run around and play. We were pretty much the only guests who didn't bring a dog — most other guests had come with theirs. 🐶
The dogs were running all over the place, playing, and they all looked so happy. 😂 If you're traveling with your dog, this place seems great since they can run around freely.

Can you still use the pool in late September?
I visited in late September, and Luna Beach Seonjae still had the pool open. The water wasn't heated though, so since it was a bit chilly, we didn't end up using it. Still, plenty of adults seemed to be having a really fun time in the water. 😊
What I especially liked was that there are separate pools for people and for dogs! 🐶 If you're visiting with your dog, you can enjoy splashing around together.

What do you need to bring for barbecue?
For barbecue at Luna Beach Seonjae, you need to prepare or order the food yourself, but the pension provides the charcoal and grill. No pension stay is complete without a barbecue! 🔥
Disposable plates, cups, and chopsticks were also provided, so I didn't have to pack any of that myself. And if you forget to bring simple food items like ramen, water, or instant rice, you can buy them right at the pension. Traveling with a kid means there's a lot to pack, so being able to buy what we needed on-site made things much easier.

What was the 5th-floor spa room like with a kid?
The room we booked at Luna Beach Seonjae was a 5th-floor spa room, with an ocean view out the window and a queen bed plus extra bedding, which made it comfortable to stay with my kid. Walking into the room, I loved the open, airy feeling right away.
What I liked most was the bathtub in the room — my kid kept playing in it right up until evening. 😂 There was a queen bed, and since extra bedding was provided separately, my kid and I laid it out on the floor and slept comfortably. Most of all, the room was more spacious and clean than I expected, so we got to rest comfortably with no issues even with a kid.

What was the mood like for evening outdoor barbecue?
As evening came, the lights turned on at Luna Beach Seonjae and the whole mood changed. It had a quietly atmospheric feel and the vibe was really nice. ✨
The weather happened to be cool, so we grilled meat outside, and with a nice breeze blowing, eating outdoors in the evening made it taste even better. As the evening went on, guests who'd been eating in the indoor barbecue area started coming outside one by one to grill their meat outdoors too. If you visit on a nice day, I'd definitely recommend the outdoor barbecue!

When would we want to visit again?
As we were checking out of Luna Beach Seonjae in the morning, I saw a machine cleaning the pool. Maybe that's why the pool water looked so clean.
This time it was late September, so we couldn't use the pool, but next year I'd love to come back in summer so my kid and I can play in the pool to our hearts' content and take it easy. 😊 Doing the mudflat experience with my kid and resting for a night at a dog-friendly pension, Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension — we had a satisfying stay. If you're looking for a place to stay with your kid on Daebu-do, or a dog-friendly pension, take a look at this one!
