The writer ordered the favorite katsu (tenderloin katsu plus cheese katsu) with a mini curry and shrimp tempura added on, eating freshly fried tonkatsu with her mom during a quiet 2pm slot. Between the natural-cheese cheese katsu and the thick tenderloin katsu drizzled with truffle oil, this has stayed her go-to spot for nearly ten years.
