Gangnam Station BBQ with salted oyster cabbage wraps: Kkondae Kim
In short
Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, where the staff grill the meat from start to finish. One serving each of kkodeulsal (chewy pork jowl), oddol galbi (cartilage rib) and pork skin came with eoriguljeot (salted raw oysters) as a free side dish, and the best bite was meat plus kimchi grilled on the pan and eoriguljeot wrapped in albaegi cabbage. Free parking, free corkage and private rooms for 4 to 24 people make Kkondae Kim Bujang an easy pick for a Gangnam Station group dinner.

Isn't finding a Gangnam Station spot for a work dinner the eternal office worker's homework? 😇 A place where the junior staff don't have to awkwardly grill everyone's meat (lol), with side dishes that are out of this world — I finally found the perfect Gangnam Station group dinner spot!!
Drumroll~~ it's Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch.

I went with my boyfriend, sort of a date, and ended up completely won over by the meat quality and side dishes! Here's my full, detailed review 🏃🏻♀️
Walking from Gangnam Station Exit 11 to Kkondae Kim Bujang
Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch is about a 340m walk from Exit 11 — just a short stroll away. The flashy retro-style exterior means you can't miss the sign.

This eye-catching, flashy exterior just pops out at you!

Just reading 'tonggalmaegi (whole skirt steak), cheongyeophangjeong (thousand-layer pork jowl)' already makes your mouth water, right? 🤤 Even from outside, the place looked huge, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows so it never felt cramped — very open and airy!
Inside Kkondae Kim Bujang: private rooms for group dinners
Inside Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch, the ventilation is excellent and the seats are spaced generously. Toward the back there are private rooms that fit anywhere from 4 to 24 people.

Walking inside, I was relieved to find the ventilation was so good you don't have to worry about your clothes smelling like grilled meat, and the interior was clean! The seats were spaced out well too, making it genuinely comfortable for a work dinner or gathering 🌟

There's even a meat-aging fridge visible on one side of the restaurant, showing off the meat aging beautifully — it instantly boosted my confidence in the meat quality 🥸

There are plenty of seats by the window too 👍🏻 And attention, anyone planning a Gangnam Station group dinner!

Toward the back there are private rooms decorated with a traditional lattice-door feel (minimum 4, maximum 24 people), all lined up. The space is clearly separated, making it perfect for a department dinner.☺️

The men's and women's restrooms are also cleanly separated inside — totally comfortable! 👍🏻
A Gangnam BBQ that serves salted raw oysters as a free side dish
The basic side dishes at Kkondae Kim Bujang all come out at once on a large tray, including eoriguljeot (salted raw oysters) — and they refill it too. Orders are placed through the tablet menu at the table.

We sat down and comfortably placed our order on the tablet menu~~ No need to call a staff member, true to today's trend — one touch and you're done ordering 👍🏻

Right after ordering, a huge tray of basic side dishes came out, practically bending the table.. wait, is it real that eoriguljeot is a basic side dish at a BBQ restaurant?! 😳

Look at that glistening eoriguljeot visual ㅠㅠ I feel like that alone could finish off a whole bottle of soju — insanely good (and they refill it too… 🥹)

The sauces included ssamjang (dipping sauce) and salt, plus turmeric powder and soybean flour for the pork skin we'd eat later~~
Kkodeulsal, oddol galbi and pork skin, all grilled by the staff
We ordered kkodeulsal (1 serving), oddol galbi (1 serving), and pork skin. At Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch, staff grill the meat from start to finish, so no one at your dinner gets stuck babysitting the grill.

You know how at a work dinner or group gathering, someone always ends up stuck grilling the whole time and barely gets to eat? Not here, no worries!! The staff, with total pro energy, grill everything deliciously from start to finish.

Their grilling skills are no joke either — you get to enjoy the meat at its absolute best, crispy outside, juicy inside, bursting with flavor 👍🏻 My food-savvy boyfriend, who really knows his stuff, put the kimchi that came as a side dish on the grill.. said he smelled sesame oil from the oyster dish (lol) and drizzled 'that' oil over the kimchi, grilling it low and slow until it was juicy

Wow, this was seriously, insanely good 🥹
The best bite: cabbage leaf, meat, grilled kimchi and salted oysters
Okay, here comes one dream combination.

Put a piece of well-grilled meat on a fresh al배기 (young napa cabbage) leaf, top with well-grilled kimchi and a small bit of eoriguljeot, then wrap it up and eat?!
. .
This right here is heaven ㅠㅠㅠ My boyfriend and I cheersed with our cabbage wraps and stuffed our mouths full ㅋㅋㅋ Honestly, I'd recommend this as a must-visit Gangnam Station restaurant for this combo alone.😭

Today's (slightly low-angle..^.^) aerial shot 📸
An unexpected freebie: the Jinro mask pack event 🍻
So while we were eating away, promotional staff for Jinro soju came around the restaurant. They glanced at our table and made us a tempting offer: switch from Chum Churum to Jinro soju and get a free gift..! ㅋㅋㅋ Of course we immediately switched to Isul and scored a Jinro toad mask pack ㅋㅋㅋ

Such a random little event ㅠㅠ, it made us laugh. So we ended up with half a bottle of Chum Churum plus Chamisul too (?)

But once you finish it all, it's basically just a drinking session..~
Is Kkondae Kim Bujang a good Gangnam Station group dinner spot?
Free parking right in the middle of Gangnam Station, spacious and comfortable rooms (group seating) with free corkage! (unbelievable~~~) On top of that, staff grill all your meat for you? There's really no reason not to pick this place for a group dinner — it's basically perfect.
The meat quality speaks for itself, and the side dishes (especially the eoriguljeot wrap, highly recommend!) are excellent enough to win over even the pickiest eaters! It really seems like the go-to spot for a Gangnam Station group dinner or team gathering!💯 If you're looking for a comfortable, delicious, and good-value BBQ restaurant near Gangnam Station, I highly, highly recommend Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip!
📌 Must-check before you go: Call ahead to confirm a parking spot, and don't miss out on deals like the 'office worker's day-drinking hotspot coupon' on Naver Place!
