Apgujeong pasta restaurant, truffle carbonara & shrimp: Eulji Darak
In short
Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park (을지다락) is a Western restaurant on the 2nd floor of 25 Eonju-ro 168-gil, near Dosan Park in Apgujeong, Seoul. Remembering a good meal at another Eulji Darak branch, the blogger ordered the truffle-scented flat carbonara, a spicy cream pasta loaded with shrimp, and the katsu sando (pork cutlet sandwich) they'd had before. Verdict: if you want a pasta that's different from the usual, Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park's two pastas are a good choice.

Eulji Darak Dosan: what did we order?
At Eulji Darak (을지다락) in Apgujeong, I ordered the flat carbonara, the spicy cream pasta and the katsu sando. I found this Dosan branch while running an errand in Apgujeong, and I was so happy to see it, because I'd had a great meal at another branch before, haha. So this time I visited the Apgujeong one! I wanted to try different pastas, so I got the flat carbonara and the spicy cream pasta, plus the katsu sando I enjoyed last time!!

There's a good range of pastas and the mood is nice, so I think it's worth a look if you're searching for a place to eat in Apgujeong!
What's the atmosphere like?
The menu runs from pasta to side dishes, and the restaurant feels clean and upscale. I like that the menu is so varied that you can visit many times and still try something new! This Dosan branch also let me enjoy everything from pasta to sides, haha.

The overall feel is tidy and upscale, so you can eat comfortably and still feel like it's a special occasion, haha.
There's also a photo zone, so it suits a visit with friends or a date with a partner! I thought it would be fine for occasions where atmosphere matters, like a blind date or a wedding invitation meetup.

I also thought it's a good place for people looking for somewhere to eat out with a child, since there's plenty to choose from!! Ordering by ringing a bell is unusual and feels fun, haha.
Flat carbonara: flat-noodle pasta with truffle aroma

Eulji Darak's flat carbonara is exactly what the name says: a carbonara with flat noodles and a hint of truffle. The name alone is a bit different from ordinary pasta, so I was curious about it!! When you think of pasta you usually picture long, round noodles, but this one really uses flat noodles, so it felt fresh!!
The noodle shape is different from the pasta I usually eat, so it's fun to eat and feels like a slightly special pasta.
What I personally liked was the truffle aroma! Adding it to carbonara's rich, savory flavor made the taste feel even better!! The scent is subtle, which gave it a different charm from regular pasta, haha.

If you've been eating the same carbonara over and over and feel a bit tired of it, a carbonara made with flat noodles is worth trying!

A familiar carbonara with different noodles and a truffle aroma was memorable, haha. I'd recommend it to people who like carbonara or truffle!
Spicy cream pasta: not heavy, with plenty of shrimp
Eulji Darak's spicy cream pasta has a spicy aroma added to the cream, so it's less heavy, and it has lots of shrimp. You want cream pasta, but halfway through it can get too rich to finish, right!! This one had a spicy aroma that hit as soon as I took a bite, so my first impression was great, haha.

With the spicy flavor added to the smooth cream, it felt less heavy 🤤 I especially recommend it to people who want cream pasta but don't love rich food!!
Best of all, there was a lot of shrimp! When a pasta has generous shrimp, it's fun to eat with the noodles and more satisfying, haha. If you like shrimp, you'll like this even more!

The spicy aroma and smooth cream blended so well that I kept eating, haha. For me, the key with cream pasta is whether it's too heavy, and the spice kept it from getting tiresome, so I enjoyed it to the end!

If you want a slightly different pasta in Apgujeong, I highly recommend the flat carbonara and the spicy cream pasta!!
Katsu sando: loved it at another branch, ordered again
I'd enjoyed the katsu sando (pork cutlet sandwich) at another branch, so I ordered it again at the Dosan branch!

When you've loved a dish once, you still think of it at other branches, right! The katsu sando is exactly that kind of dish, haha. I ordered it again this time without hesitating.

The katsu sando is a sandwich with a thick pork cutlet, and the meat was thick and satisfying again!! The crispy cutlet texture is great, and it's filling the more you chew, so it went well alongside pasta!

And if you put the coleslaw that comes with it on top, the combo is so good 😋 The pork cutlet alone can get a bit heavy, but with coleslaw it gets a crunchy, fresh taste and feels much cleaner!! I loved the crispy cutlet with coleslaw this time too, haha.

I think it's a good side to order when pasta alone feels a little short or when you want to share several dishes!!
Is it a good Apgujeong spot for dates, blind dates and wedding invitation meetups?
Eulji Darak Dosan has a varied menu and a clean, upscale atmosphere that suits dates, blind dates and wedding invitation meetups. I really, really enjoyed this meal too!! The truffle flat carbonara stood out for its flat noodles, unlike the pasta I usually eat, and I liked the spicy aroma and generous shrimp in the spicy cream pasta!!

The katsu sando, with its thick pork cutlet and coleslaw, was delicious as always, haha.

Above all, the varied menu lets you choose to your taste, and the clean, upscale atmosphere seemed to suit many occasions.
I'd recommend it if you're looking for a date spot in Apgujeong, worried about where to hold a blind date, or hunting for a restaurant for a wedding invitation meetup with friends. It's also worth a visit for people looking for a place to eat with a child, or for pasta or brunch in Apgujeong, haha. If you want a restaurant with a nice atmosphere near Apgujeong, give Eulji Darak Dosan a try!
