Songdo Dream City bakery: Valrhona choco baguette, 5 picks, Tomoru
In short
Tomoru Bakery is a bakery in Songdo District 1 in Yeonsu, Incheon, near Dream City and the Korea Coast Guard headquarters. The five picks were a ciabatta sandwich, a pollack roe and scallion baguette, a nutty levain cookie, a choco baguette and a fig ciabatta, and the choco baguette filled with whole pieces of Valrhona chocolate was the standout. With so many breads and all of them delicious, Tomoru Bakery is a far better choice than any franchise bakery.

Location and parking at Tomoru Bakery
I visit Tomoru Bakery often because it has so many varied, wholesome breads. 📍 It's located toward Songdo District 1's Dream City, near the Incheon Coast Guard headquarters. Since there's such a wide range of bread, it's also great to pick some up to bring to Central Park. If you're looking for bakeries around Songdo Central Park, check this one out too.
🅿️ Parking is available inside the building. You can also briefly stop right in front of the shop, so if you're getting takeout, keep that in mind.
Inside the shop and seating
There are tables both inside and outside the store, so you can eat there!

They also sell coffee, so keep in mind you can enjoy a cup along with your bread.

What's on the display shelves
Breads that need refrigeration — croquette sandwiches, ciabatta sandwiches, mammoth bread, cream-filled breads and the like — are kept chilled.
Among the popular items: Cucumber baguette (₩6,000) Pollack roe scallion baguette (₩5,500)

Salt bread, pollack roe salt bread, Dubai choco baguette, mocha bread, choco bread, ciabatta and more — so many wholesome, varied breads!

Salt bread varieties
The plain salt bread is ₩2,400, and there's a wide range of other salt breads too, like garlic cheese salt bread and bacon potato salt bread. Apparently the salt bread here is quite famous, so if you're hunting for the best salt bread in Songdo, check it out!

There's also gonggalppang (hollow puffed bread) and ppalmikare.

Sweet pumpkin rice bread is apparently one of the popular items too!

Baked goods and gift wrapping
There are several baked treats like financiers, muffins and madeleines, and gift wrapping is available, so it'd make a lovely gift. Peanut butter jam and strawberry jam are also on sale! Cookies are also sold in gift-wrap boxes!

There are also strawberry cakes in various sizes, so keep that in mind.

There's also a wide range of other desserts, like scones, egg tarts, cheesecake, pie manju and pecan pie.

There was ciabatta and corn campagne, and the choco baguette I'd been most curious about was there too. I picked one up to see, and it was especially delicious because a whole Valrhona chocolate bar was tucked inside.

The 5 items I bought that day
- ✔️ Ciabatta sandwich
- ✔️ Pollack roe scallion baguette
- ✔️ Levain cookie
- ✔️ Choco baguette
- ✔️ Ciabatta
Purchased.
Pollack roe scallion baguette

I ordered the pollack roe scallion baguette, one of the most popular items.

It's packed with scallion, pollack roe, bacon and more, so it could easily stand in for a meal. Nicely salty and delicious.
Choco baguette
I finally tried the choco baguette now, way after it was trending...

Inside is a whole chunk of chocolate, and eating that chocolate part alone is seriously delicious! Eating the bread and chocolate together in one bite worked even better. I wondered if chocolate and baguette would really go together, but they really do! If you're curious about the choco baguette in Songdo, check it out sometime.
Nutty levain cookie

One of my all-time favorite cookies. This levain cookie is completely delicious. It's packed full of macadamia and pecan, which made the texture even better.

Crisp outside, soft inside — the butter tteok (rice cake). I also enjoyed this as a snack with coffee.
Ciabatta sandwich
A ciabatta sandwich stuffed generously with cabbage, tomato, ham, pickles and more.

The ciabatta itself was tasty, which made the sandwich feel even better. The filling was so big it was a bit hard to eat in one bite, but it kept me full and satisfied.
Fig ciabatta
Fig ciabatta (chiabatta) — a bread you can enjoy with a healthy feel. If you like plain, mild breads, this is for you. It's a clean, understated ciabatta, the kind of bread that would pair nicely with yogurt or fruit for breakfast.
There's such a wide variety of bread to choose from, and all of it was delicious, so I'd recommend this place far above any franchise bakery ‼️
