We visited the all-you-can-eat sushi buffet Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a great family-gathering spot in Nowon. On weekends, if the building lot is full you have to use a paid lot, but we were lucky and found a free space in the Oncheon Building parking lot 😄

Weekend booking and seating: is Kuu Kuu Nowon good for a family gathering?

You can book Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch on Naver, so even on a weekend we walked straight in with no wait 👍 The interior is huge at 300 pyeong (about 990 sq m) with lots of large tables, so it was an ideal place for a family or group gathering ✨️

Kuu Kuu is running a Food Party promotion right now, so there were lots of new menu items and new fruit drinks, which I loved 🍹

How fresh are the sashimi and sushi at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch?

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has 120 menu items in total, so you can eat whatever suits your taste, which I loved 🩷

Among the sashimi, the raw salmon sashimi was fresh and delicious, so I ate a lot of it 😄

There were plenty of raw-fish sushi options too, and unlike other branches, the fish on the sushi was big and thick, which made it even more enjoyable 💯

There were so many kinds of sushi that I couldn't decide what to eat. I filled up quickly and didn't get to eat as much as I wanted, which was a shame 🥹

What's at the BBQ, made-to-order and dessert stations?

The BBQ corner at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a wide range of seafood and meat, and the steamed crab and steamed shrimp were delicious too 🦀🦐

Among the meats, the lamb chops were the most popular. They had no gamey smell and were lightly sprinkled with cumin powder (zira), so they tasted great.

There was also pastry-topped soup (en croûte soup), plus made-to-order jajang (black bean noodles), jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), udon, miso soup and cold soba. There was pizza and a good range of fried food that kids would like.

Because the Food Party is on, the dessert selection was wide too, which I liked 🍨🍮🧁 The fruit included summer seasonal melon, watermelon and chamoe (Korean melon), as well as grapefruit, orange, banana and frozen mango.

And there was Kuu Kuu's highlight, the chocolate fountain. The chocolate was rich and tasty, and it's lovely and sweet to finish with 🍫

The ice cream came in many flavors, and there was even bead ice cream, which I loved 🍨🫶

Food Party new drinks: ube latte bubble tea and herbal teas

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a good variety of drinks too, and the Food Party's new lychee juice and ube latte were delicious.

There were lots of herbal teas as well, which are nice after a meal 🌿

A weekend sushi buffet meal for two: what we ate

For my first plate I started light with salad, and I also brought steamed crab, which was full of meat and delicious 😄

My second plate was fish and sushi, and the fish was thick, fresh and delicious 🍣 The salmon sashimi and flounder sushi were especially good, so I ate a lot of them 😄

I also ordered jjamppong separately, and my husband had jajangmyeon (black bean noodles). Both were delicious 👍

The lamb chops are a popular item at peak time and disappear fast, so they were hard to get, but the staff kept refilling them right away so I managed to eat some. Freshly grilled lamb chops were really good 🐑

The seasonal fruit was all delicious too, and the melon was especially sweet and tasty 🍈

I had the ube latte as bubble tea by adding tapioca pearls, and the bead ice cream was delicious too 🥰 And I finished neatly with warm jasmine tea, an herbal tea.

Would I go back to Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch?
