60,000-won sashimi combo and grilled shrimp: Yeongjae Susan, Songpa

Yeongjae Susan is a live-fish shop in the Sales Building of Garak Mall at Garak Market in Songpa, Seoul. Visiting in gizzard shad season, the writer had the small jeongwangyeon sashimi combo (gizzard shad, flounder and salmon), 500g for 60,000 won, plus 500g of live shrimp for 15,000 won, then carried it upstairs to the food court and paid only the table-setting fee; the gizzard shad sekkoshi (bone-in slices) had bones soft enough not to bother anyone. For seasonal gizzard shad and shrimp at a fair price, Yeongjae Susan is the answer.
