Jeonpo Korean restaurant: mackerel thistle rice three ways, Hyangtaek
Hyangtaek Jeonpo Branch is a Korean restaurant on Seojeon-ro in Jeonpo-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan. On a weekend walk the writer ordered mackerel thistle rice (₩14,000) and a mushroom plate (₩6,000), then ate the rice three ways: simply mixed, wrapped in gopchang gim (crinkled seaweed) with salted seafood relish, and mixed with the house special sauce added a little at a time. Mild rather than heavily seasoned, Hyangtaek Jeonpo Branch makes a filling stop even for a solo meal.
