Hongdae brunch spot for daytime Kozel Dark and steak: Hôtel de Couture
Hôtel de Couture is a Western-style brunch restaurant in a Yeonnam-dong alley in Mapo, Seoul, about a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongik University Station. After a ring-making workshop date nearby, the writer stopped in for lunch and ordered a Kozel Dark beer, the house steak and the jambon cream risotto; the steak arrived slightly overcooked because no one asked how it should be done. If you order steak at Hôtel de Couture, state your preferred doneness when ordering, and mix the egg yolk through the cream risotto.
