Midweek bossam for two at a Hapjeong Korean restaurant: Pyeongidambaek
Pyeongidambaek Ppyeo Kalguksu Main Branch (평이담백 뼈칼국수 본점) is a bossam and pork-bone kalguksu restaurant at 84 Yanghwa-ro 7-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, midway between Hapjeong and Mangwon stations. After browsing Kyobo Bookstore in Hapjeong, the writer arrived with a friend around 6pm on a Wednesday and ordered the medium bossam (boiled pork) platter, wrapping the pork in cabbage leaves with dried radish salad and kimchi. The medium size was just right for two, making Pyeongidambaek a Hapjeong bossam spot worth remembering.
