Apgujeong Korean restaurant with squid stir-fry sets for 1 to 4: Oje
In short
Oje Ojingeo Jeyuk (Oje Apgujeong) is a Korean restaurant on Dosan-daero 27-gil near Apgujeong Station in Gangnam, Seoul, specializing in stir-fried squid and stir-fried pork. Oje was formerly a kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) spot known for adding Spam. Oje now offers sets for solo diners and for groups of 2, 3 or 4, with tender squid, a thinly rolled egg omelet (gyeran-mari) and a self-serve side dish corner that makes the meal feel like a Korean buffet. Lunch and dinner lines are a given, so Oje is most comfortable at an in-between hour.

Let me review Oje, an Apgujeong restaurant with lines out the door at lunch, serving stir-fried squid and stir-fried pork.

What is Oje? Renewed from a kimchi jjigae spot into a squid-pork specialist
Oje is a Korean restaurant on Dosan-daero 27-gil near Apgujeong Station serving stir-fried squid and stir-fried pork. It's a well-known Apgujeong spot that a lot of celebrities have visited too — I stopped by on my way home from work. It used to be known for its spam kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) and was already good for stir-fried squid, but it's now been renewed to focus on stir-fried squid, stir-fried pork, and a thin egg omelet. Even after the renewal, it still seems just as popular with its regulars.

When to visit Oje in Apgujeong to skip the wait
Oje is a place with lines at both lunch and dinner, so waiting is basically a given. I went at an in-between time and managed to eat pretty comfortably. Right after, once the 7pm slot hit, people started pouring in one after another. The lunch pricing is reasonable too, so it seems like it'd get even busier then. Seating is split by group size — 1, 2, 3, 4 people — and the sets are served accordingly.

From solo dining to groups of four: sets by headcount
This Apgujeong Korean restaurant lets you have stir-fried squid and egg omelet solo or as part of various sets. I especially liked that there are sets for solo diners, 2 people, 3 people, and 4 people. Oje's signature stir-fried squid was really tender. The seasoning itself is different from what you usually get, and it goes really well with rice alongside the stir-fried squid and stir-fried pork.

Oje's thinly rolled egg omelet
I'm not usually a huge fan of egg omelet, but Oje's version comes rolled thin, giving it a slightly foreign feel, which made it easy for me to enjoy.

Self-serve side dish corner: it felt like a Korean buffet
A combination of tender squid and egg omelet. The portions at this Apgujeong restaurant are generous already, but you can also grab more side dishes from the self-serve corner, which makes it more relaxed compared to other places nearby. Kind of gives off Korean buffet vibes.

A quick meal near Apgujeong Rodeo
I came here in a rush after getting a facial lifting treatment near Apgujeong Rodeo, and it really did feel like a Korean-buffet-style restaurant near Apgujeong Station. The male owner here is really cute too, haha. Friendly and generous with the portions — that's probably why everything felt so plentiful and delicious.
Oje, the squid-and-pork spot in Apgujeong that lots of celebrities have visited too. It might be tough to make the trip from a Sinsa office these days with the heat, but I'll have to bring a friend who loves stir-fried pork sometime in fall or winter. With 3- and 4-person set options too, Oje seems like a great Apgujeong restaurant to enjoy with a group.

A stir-fried squid spot near Apgujeong Station — I had a satisfying, filling meal there after a while.
