Mala gamjatang and takeaway fried rice in Itaewon, Seoul: Nuri Maeul
Nuri Maeul Gamjatang Itaewon Branch is a 24-hour gamjatang (pork bone stew) restaurant in Itaewon, Seoul, in front of the Hamilton Hotel and a one-minute walk from Itaewon Station Exit 4. A couple ordered the small mala gamjatang with potato sujebi (hand-torn dough), extra potato noodles and self-serve fried rice, and even the small size came loaded with meat and radish greens, the bones simmered until the meat slid off at a touch. They were too full to finish, so the fried rice went home for round two — a filling, satisfying meal at any hour.
