Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is a tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) restaurant in Yongsan, Seoul, started as a street cart in 2004 and now running 8 directly operated branches. A Sunday visit around 7pm meant a wait, and the 26,000 won Hyeonseonine Combo for three brought tteokbokki, gimbap (seaweed rice rolls), tuna mayo, sundae (blood sausage) and 3 skewers of long Busan-style fish cake, with fried flakes sprinkled over the tteokbokki as the best bite of the table. Soft wheat rice cakes in a sauce that is spicy and sweet at once make Hyeonseonine a place worth coming back to.
