Sushi Doku The Songdo is at 168-2 Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall, and it's open daily 11:00-21:00. Break time is 15:00-17:00, there are no days off, and you get 2 hours of free parking in the Onesta Mall car park.

I visited Sushi Doku The Songdo, a sushi spot in Songdo. It's close to Tekeunopakeu Station. Since it's on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall, it's also a handy place to eat if you're out at the Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet or Triple Street. If you come by car, the 2 hours of free parking at the Onesta Mall car park is available too.

Is there a wait right after break time?

There was a waitlist as break time (15:00-17:00) was ending. I'd booked the 5pm slot, so I got in right at 5.

Curtained seats: what's the atmosphere like?

The interior is dark wood tones overall, with a curtain hung at every table. The tables are separated to a fair degree, which made eating comfortable. The overall mood was calm. You order on the tablet at your seat.

The sushi sets come in six types, from ₩19,900 to ₩35,900. There were more kinds than I expected.

Premium sushi set at ₩25,900: what are the 10 pieces?

I ordered the premium sushi set. It's ₩25,900 and comes with 10 kinds of nigiri: flounder, sea bream, salmon, squid, sweet shrimp, tuna akami (lean tuna), red shrimp, red snow crab meat, eel and ankimo (monkfish liver).

It came out quickly after ordering. Look at that, insane, right?! Lots of kinds arrive together on one tray, so picking through them one by one is fun, and the colors are so varied that it looked really generous. There was flounder, salmon and tuna, plus sweet shrimp, eel, ankimo and more.

Sides that come with the premium sushi set

The premium sushi set isn't just sushi, it comes with sides too. Salad, chawanmushi, mini udon, karaage and shrimp tempura. Love this lineup so much!!

The fried items were shrimp tempura and karaage together. They were freshly fried, so crunchy and delicious! The salad and udon were nice and tasty too, nothing fancy.

What order should you eat the sushi in?

At Sushi Doku The Songdo there's soy sauce at one side of the table along with a brush, so you brush it onto the sushi.

Everything was something delicious, so I couldn't decide what to eat first. The lineup is honestly so good.

They recommended eating in this order: white fish, then tuna and salmon, then eel. The sushi rice (shari) was just right and the fish cuts were all big, so every bite was full and delicious.

That was Sushi Doku The Songdo, where I went for sushi in Songdo! The premium sushi set has so many kinds of nigiri that picking them one by one was fun, and with udon, tempura and chawanmushi alongside, it was more filling than I expected. I liked that it isn't only sushi, you get several dishes to go with it. The atmosphere is calm, and each table has its own separated space, so you can eat comfortably. If you want to enjoy a variety of sushi in one go in Songdo, I recommend Sushi Doku The Songdo!
