The writer bought the Harubangne 8-flavor gift set for 28,200 won and handed most of it out to coworkers, then mistakenly refrigerated the leftover fig madeleine, which turned dry and only softened again after sitting at room temperature. With each madeleine individually wrapped and keeping 5 to 7 days at room temperature or a month frozen, Harubangne is an easy Jeju souvenir as long as it never goes in the fridge.
