Room-temp Jeju souvenir at Jeju Shilla Duty Free: Today Jeju

Today Jeju is a dol hareubang-shaped dessert shop on the 1st floor of Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch, next to the parking tower on Noyeon-ro in Jeju City. Stopping by after lunch to browse the duty-free shop, the writer picked up the 8-flavor Harubangne set that keeps at room temperature, and loved the individual wrapping and gift-box packaging. If you want an edible souvenir instead of the usual Jeju trinket, Today Jeju is the answer.

Jeju rice cake shop for day-before pickup and freezer storage: Suragan

Suragan Tteokbang is an omegi-tteok (rice cake) shop in Jeju City, Jeju. After falling for omegi-tteok at a hotel breakfast, the writer reserved and packed several flavors, only to find the rice cakes had melted in the hotel fridge overnight and had to ask the lobby to freeze them instead. Even a self-declared bread person changed their mind over this chewy, not-too-sweet rice cake — just pick it up on the last day of your trip so you can freeze it right away.
