Hi everyone, this is Gyul-i. :)

A Garosugil sashimi restaurant in Sinsa-dong with valet parking — such a relief in Apgujeong where parking is a nightmare — 'Parang Haenyeojip'.

Where is Parang Haenyeojip Sinsa Direct Store, and what are the hours?

Parang Haenyeojip Sinsa Direct Store is at 19 Gangnam-daero160-gil, 1F, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and open 16:00–02:00. It has Wi-Fi, takes reservations, welcomes groups, offers valet parking, and is a no-kids zone.

Sinsa Parang Haenyeojip is about a 5-minute walk from Exits 6, 7, and 8 of Sinsa Station. It's also about 5 minutes from Garosugil, so the location is amazing.

Driving in: valet parking at 5,000 won for 120 minutes

If you drive, you can use valet parking too (₩5,000 for 120 minutes). Just pull up in front of the restaurant and ask a staff member, or talk to the valet booth next to the entrance of Seorim Building.

During evening peak hours there's basically always a wait, so I recommend booking through Naver reservations before you go!

What two people get for 60,000 won: aged sashimi and seafood kalguksu

Since Parang Haenyeojip Sinsa Direct Store specializes in seafood and aged sashimi, of course we ordered aged sashimi. We got one small aged sashimi platter (₩48,000) + one cool seafood kalguksu (₩12,000), and the total came out to ₩60,000! *Drinks not included

In October they apparently sell aged yellowtail too. Yellowtail is already delicious, so imagine how good aged yellowtail would be, hahahahaha.

Free refills on the seaweed soup side dish

The basic side dishes were seaweed soup (miyeokguk) and various seaweed items, and the soup was refillable for free, so I was warming up my stomach with it before drinking. Hehe :)

What comes on the small aged sashimi platter?

And here comes the aged sashimi. The aged sashimi platter comes with 3–4 types of fish. With such variety, it's fun to try each kind one by one. When we went, they told us it was salmon, flounder, sea bass, and red seabream, I think.

On the side of the sashimi plate came pickled radish, wasabi, makjang (a thick dipping sauce for wrapping sashimi) along with garlic, chili peppers, and vinegared ginger.

The small size portion of aged sashimi was truly just right for two people — if you're three, go with medium, and if you're four, go with large, I think that'd be perfect.

It was aged so well that the oil is just gliiiistening. I can't even imagine how tender it'll be. The seasoned cabbage salad served on the plate had a generous portion too, and eating it alongside the sashimi when your palate needs a break is a legendary combo. You can also order more, just so you know~!

The chewiness and softness that only aged sashimi has, compared to live sashimi, is insane, seriously ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ. I get it now, why this is such a popular Sinsa Station Garosugil sashimi restaurant. The cuts are thick too, so you really feel the bite.

So chewy and glossy. Personally, I put a piece of perilla leaf, then a piece of seaweed on top, then a piece of sashimi, then makjang, and eating it like that made the umami just explode.. ♥

Ending the meal with cool seafood kalguksu

Finally, we finished with cool seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) loaded with mussels and clams. There were more mussels and clams than I expected, so the broth was really refreshing and spicy-cool. Honestly, this alone could go with a whole bottle of soju, it's that reeeeeally refreshing.

Who is Parang Haenyeojip best for?

If you're around Sinsa Station, Garosugil, or Apgujeong and craving seafood and aged sashimi, I recommend Parang Haenyeojip. We had a comfortable time in a nice-atmosphere space with savory food that made the drinks go down easily.

It's a great seafood restaurant for company dinners, dates, gatherings, or even a second-round spot. Parking is especially easy, and the value for the aged sashimi price is really good.

Yellowtail season is coming up soon again. Yesss!!!!!!!!!!!! They say they'll have aged yellowtail sashimi during yellowtail season, so you have to visit!!!!! Yellowtail is already delicious, but I can't even imagine how good the aged version will be ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
