Naju café for two croffle flavors: Vibe Log Coffee

A Naju local had recommended the croffles at Vibe Log Coffee Naju Dongshin University Branch (바이브로그커피 나주동신대점), so I had saved it and finally visited. This time, I chose the blueberry yogurt and dirty chocolate croffles to have with drinks.

Where is it near Dongshin University?

The café is on the first floor at 87 Daeho-gil in Daehodong, Naju, near Dongshin University. The original post listed its hours as 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, with last orders at 9:55 PM. It also indicated that takeout, delivery, and reservations were available.

Are there seats for friends or family?

Once inside, the space felt larger than I expected, with a variety of seating. There were group tables for several people and comfortable sofa seats. During my visit, I also saw local residents and students, and it felt like an easy place to spend time chatting with friends or family.

What croffles and drinks are available?

There were many croffle options, from plain to Nutella, injeolmi (roasted soybean powder), salted caramel, tiramisu, corn cream, blueberry yogurt, dirty chocolate, and ang butter (sweet red bean paste and butter). I came for the croffles after hearing the recommendation, but seeing the menu made it hard to choose a flavor.

It looked as though Naju Love Gift Certificates and Onnuri Gift Certificates could also be used. However, I did not confirm whether they were actually accepted.

Beyond coffee and lattes, the drink menu included ades, juices, yogurt drinks, smoothies, iced tea, and teas. There were also yuzu tea and maesil tea (Korean plum tea), along with cakes and other desserts. In one corner, there were small bear candles that could be used with desserts.

Water was available for self-service. While waiting for our order, I also enjoyed looking around at the cute accessories and interior details.

How were the two croffles I tried?

That day, I ordered the blueberry yogurt croffle and dirty chocolate croffle, along with an iced vanilla latte and kiwi juice.

How sweet was the blueberry yogurt croffle?

The blueberry and yogurt went well together, and the sweetness was just right for me. It was neither overwhelmingly sweet nor bland. I especially liked the texture: the outside was pleasantly crisp while the inside was chewy. Of the two, the blueberry yogurt croffle stayed with me most.

Did the dirty chocolate croffle go well with ice cream?

The dirty chocolate croffle had a chocolate coating on the outside. It looked sweet, but it was not as sweet as I expected, and I was happy with the chocolate flavor. With vanilla ice cream, the cold, smooth texture worked well with the warm, crisp croffle.

How were the drinks with the croffles?

My younger sibling enjoyed the iced vanilla latte, which had a straightforward coffee flavor and was sweet. The kiwi juice had a strong kiwi taste and a sweet-tart flavor. It felt as though the fruit had been blended whole, and drinking it between bites of the sweet croffles refreshed my palate.

How much were the two croffles?

At the time of my visit, the two croffles I ordered came to less than ₩10,000. Considering both the texture and flavor, the price felt reasonable to me. However, the original post did not separately record the price of each item or whether there was an extra charge for ice cream.

On this visit, I liked the crisp, chewy croffles and the ample seating. If I return, I would like to try other croffles too, though the blueberry yogurt combination I tried first is the one I remember most.
