Phodam Jeonju City Hall Branch is a Vietnamese restaurant next to Save Zone in Jeonju's Jungang Market, close to Gaeksa. Over lunch with her mom, the writer ordered fresh spring rolls, beef pho, and banh xeo, wrapping vegetables in rice paper, and found the crispy banh xeo the most memorable dish. She plans to return to try the spring rolls and banh mi next time.
Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang is a foot bath and massage café on the 2nd floor of a building on Eunhaeng-ro in Jeonju Hanok Village, near Jeondong Cathedral and Gyeonggijeon. For 14,000 won per person, guests pick a lavender foot-soak salt, soak for 30 minutes while drinking mosijip tea (ramie leaf tea) and persimmon leaf mint tea, and finish with a shoulder and back massager plus foot cream. It's a solid way to rest tired feet after a long walk around the hanok village.
Munkkocchi Mungangjeong Jeonju Hanok Village Branch is a street-food stall on Eunhaeng-ro in Jeonju Hanok Village selling octopus skewers and fried octopus balls (mungangjeong). The writer stopped by with her mom, ordered mungangjeong and a Sanghamokjang ice cream cone, and ate them at the seats beside the shop, enjoying the chewy octopus and the generous ice cream portion. It's a solid snack combo for a quick rest while walking around the hanok village.
