Foot bath café in Jeonju Hanok Village with lavender salt and tea

Walking around Jeonju Hanok Village is a joy — there's something to look at everywhere. But if you want to keep exploring while your feet start aching... it gets tough haha. This is a place that was great for a quick rest: Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang (안마족욕카페 전망), a foot bath and massage café in Jeonju Hanok Village! Here's my review.

I'd only ever passed by this place before, but the name itself means "view," so I got curious about how good the view actually was and went in haha. I had no idea what to expect, so every little thing felt more surprising :) My fatigue really melted away.

Location — near Jeondong Cathedral and Gyeonggijeon

Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang is near Jeondong Cathedral and Gyeonggijeon, so it's a convenient stop while touring the hanok village. When your feet start getting tired from wandering around, this hanok village café with foot bath and massage service is perfect for a short break.

Unlike a typical café, you can do a foot bath and get a massage here too, so it seems like a good pick for anyone looking for something a bit different among Jeonju Hanok Village cafés.

From check-in to being seated

When you walk in, the first thing you do is swap your shoes for slippers. If you're wearing socks, you tuck them inside your shoes and leave them in the shoe locker ^^ The staff at this Jeonju Hanok Village foot bath café walked me through everything in detail, from where to sit to how to use each service.

They guided me to my seat first and explained the order for using the foot bath and massage service, so even as a first-timer it wasn't confusing at all. And the moment I stepped inside, the air was so~~~ cool! Sitting there with warm feet in the bath and a blanket over my lap, I already started feeling drowsy haha.

What's included in the 14,000 won course

The course I used was 14,000 won per person. That price covers massage + foot bath + drink + foot cream all together, so it's actually a lot more than I expected. Before starting the foot bath, you also get to choose which foot-soak salt to use.

There were three options — lavender, peppermint, and rose — and I went with lavender while my mom picked peppermint :) The tea selection at Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang was more varied than I expected too. Besides coffee, there was mosijip tea (ramie leaf tea), persimmon leaf mint tea, burdock tea, plus peach and lemon iced tea.

There were descriptions of each tea's characteristics posted in the café too, so you can pick based on your taste. We both like warm tea, so we ordered one mosijip tea and one persimmon leaf mint tea.

The mosijip tea especially had a deep color, flavor, and aroma — I imagine it would be refreshing served cold too!

How the 30-minute foot bath and massager work

Once you start the foot bath at this Jeonju Hanok Village café, they also give you an acupressure stick for your hands along with a massager for your shoulders and back. The massager runs for 15 minutes per activation, so pressing the power button on the left again gives you two full rounds — 30 minutes total.

Even if you have a massager at home, you never actually end up using it, right? haha But after a long walk around the hanok village, dipping your feet in warm water while using the massager made my whole body feel loose — genuinely refreshing. As for my mom, she was so comfortable that she slept like a baby for the full 30 minutes haha.

And when you look up, there's the hanok village view spread out in front of you! Cool indoor air, warm feet, a blanket over my lap, shoulders finally relaxing, and the hanok village in view — it was such a peaceful, restful moment.

No matter which seat you're in, you get a view of the hanok village — the name Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang ("massage foot bath café view") isn't for nothing. Once the foot bath is done, there's foot cream ready for you too. Applying cream to feet that have been well soaked in warm water... your feet are basically reborn!! :)))

While soaking my feet, I suddenly wondered, 'how do they manage all this foot bath water?' Turns out the foot bath basins are connected so the water drains right away. That was pretty neat haha.

Why I'd recommend it

Usually when you get tired touring the hanok village, you duck into a regular café for a coffee break. But on a day when your feet and body are really worn out from all that walking, resting at Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang — where you can do a foot bath and massage together — might be even better among Jeonju Hanok Village cafés!

Especially since 14,000 won covers massage, foot bath, a drink, and foot cream all together, it's a pretty solid setup for a quick rest stop.

Final thoughts and would I go back

After about 30 minutes of a warm foot bath plus massage, my body got so relaxed I nearly dozed off — but it also gave me the energy to keep exploring the rest of my hanok village itinerary haha.
