Yangjae pie shop's Premium Assorted gift set: Hodu Kkakki Brothers
In short
Hodu Kkakki Brothers (호두까끼형제) is a takeout-only handmade walnut pie shop in Yangjae and Dogok-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. The writer bought the Premium Assorted Pie set as a gift and tried the signature walnut, original pecan, macadamia cheese and hazelnut cacao pies, and was happy with the fresh nuts, crisp tart crust and not-too-sweet flavor. Verdict: Hodu Kkakki Brothers is a Yangjae walnut pie shop worth going back to, both for gifts and for yourself.

Hodu Kkakki Brothers Yangjae main branch: location, hours and parking
The Hodu Kkakki Brothers (호두까끼형제) Yangjae main branch is at 10 Nambusunhwan-ro 351-gil, Unit 101, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's open 11:00–21:00 on weekdays (break 14:30–15:30), 11:00–20:00 on Saturday and 11:00–19:00 on Sunday. There's no parking, but you can stop in the alley out front for up to 5 minutes to grab your order, and Zero Pay, takeout and reservations are all available.

Hodu Kkakki Brothers is already sooo famous as a walnut pie spot around Yangjae and Dogok-dong, over in Gangnam and Seocho. It's perfect for dessert and bakery gifts. Here comes my honest review, which includes both items I paid for myself and some provided by the shop!!
Can you eat inside Hodu Kkakki Brothers?
The Yangjae main branch is pickup and takeout only, so there's nowhere to sit. The inside is pretty cramped! haha You just zip in, grab your pies and head out~
Since there's no parking, stop in front of the shop for no more than 5 minutes and be quick! If you need to park longer, you can use the SK Hub Remobuilding parking lot.
Hodu Kkakki Brothers pie menu

The menu has walnut pie, pecan pie, milk cream walnut pie, matcha cream walnut pie, cream cheese walnut pie, hazelnut cacao pie, macadamia cheese pie and kabocha (sweet pumpkin) pie. So many kinds of pie!!

You can order drinks too~

They say these are handmade pies sweetened with oligosaccharide syrup, honey and maple syrup instead of sugar. They're easy on the stomach and not too sweet, which makes them even better!! The shop got even more famous after appearing on SBS Live Today! (You can now also order delivery online through Naver Smart Store!)
Hodu Kkakki Brothers sets: Assorted, Nut & Pecan, Nut & Cream

Premium Assorted Pie set

Nut & Pecan Pie set

Nut & Cream Pie set. Buying a set gets you a discount, and you can try a little of every kind of pie, so the whole-pie sets are definitely the better deal!!

In the shop you can also see samples to get a feel for each pie.
They recently launched a limited-quantity Dubai crispy pie too!!! I seriously thought about stocking up on them, but my hands were too full, so I gave up T_T

Is Hodu Kkakki Brothers walnut pie good as a gift?

Isn't the packaging just too pretty!!!! I bought it as a gift, and the packaging makes the giver feel proud.
The pies keep for 7 days in the fridge and up to 30 days in the freezer, so you have plenty of time to eat them, which is nice.
Hodu Kkakki Brothers has 2 shops, the Yangjae main branch and the Bangbae directly run branch!! They say there's no refined sugar, palm oil, preservatives, margarine, shortening, glazing agents, antibiotics, chemical additives or artificial sweeteners!!!!! That makes them great gifts for parents or elders!
Premium Assorted Pie set: comparing the 4 pie flavors
The Premium Assorted Pie looks so pretty...!!! It can stand in for a cake on anniversaries or birthdays, and it feels like a generous whole cake.

The Premium Assorted Pie comes with 4 kinds, 2 pieces each: signature walnut pie, original pecan pie, hazelnut cacao pie and macadamia cheese pie!
Signature walnut pie: the cleanest, mildest flagship

The signature walnut pie really is the flagship, with the cleanest, mildest flavor!

The nuts are very fresh!! No stale, musty taste at all!!! It's full of that nutty, deep walnut flavor, and you can taste the fragrant, subtle sweetness of honey without any dryness. The tart crust isn't hard; it crumbles crisply!
Macadamia cheese pie: the writer's favorite
The macadamia cheese pie is now my favorite pie haha The cheesecake is really luxurious, a rich, full-flavored cream cheesecake!! The creamy richness of the macadamia + the creaminess of the cheese + the sweetness of honey + the crumbly pie crust all come together and it's totally my taste T_T
Original pecan pie: richer and heavier than the walnut pie
The original pecan pie has a richer, heavier charm than the walnut pie.

It's glossy and looks appetizing! If the walnut pie is mild and clean, the pecan pie is richer and softer! Walnut pie < pecan pie, the pecan is more my style.

Hazelnut cacao pie: richer chocolate than expected
I didn't expect much from the hazelnut cacao pie, but it turned out to be a real cacao chocolate winner!!!

The chocolate isn't too sweet, but the cacao content is high so the flavor is super rich!!! Chewing it together with the hazelnuts gives a bittersweet combination that was so charming!
You can also give them as gifts by putting 1 piece of each into a Hodu Kkakki Brothers 4-slot box like this.

The tart crust isn't hard either; it's buttery and crumbly, so delicious!!
The explanation pamphlet is very friendly and so cute lol They're sugar-free, so how are they so nicely sweet and fragrant?

Is Hodu Kkakki Brothers worth going back to?
Hodu Kkakki Brothers is already super famous in Gangnam's Yangjae and Dogok-dong as a walnut pie dessert bakery for gifts. It's not just for gifts; it's now a walnut pie shop I'd go to just to buy pies for myself haha
