Late-dinner gukbap on Gukchaebosang-ro in Daegu: Hanwoojang
Hanwoojang is a 24-hour gukbap (Korean beef soup with rice) restaurant on Gukchaebosang-ro in Jung-gu, Daegu, running since 1968. After a late tennis lesson, the writer and her partner ordered special ttaro-gukbap (blood sausage soup) at 12,000 won and oxtail soup at 17,000 won, and found the blood sausage cut in big clean-tasting pieces and the oxtail broth milky white and loaded with meat. For a filling late-night meal or a hangover cure in central Daegu, Hanwoojang is the answer.
