Myeonmok tonkatsu restaurant for solo dining: Katsu Monster Myeonmok
Katsu Monster Myeonmok is a tonkatsu (Japanese pork cutlet) restaurant an 11-minute walk from Exit 2 of Myeonmok Station in Jungnang, Seoul. Visiting alone on a weekday afternoon off, the writer ordered the one-person set of loin katsu and cold soba for 19,000 won, and the mostly counter seating made solo dining feel natural. The loin katsu came out crisp and the cold soba cold and refreshing, a portion filling enough that one person struggles to finish it.
