What is Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch like?
Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch (해물특별시 부천역본점) is a seafood restaurant close to Bucheon Station where a stone-plate seafood spread keeps bubbling right to the end. It's famous enough to have been on TV (the show Saengsaeng Jeongbotong), so I went to check it out.
I tried the mini monkfish stew (agujjim), and the portion was really big. With a few extras added, I was properly stuffed. You can pick the spice level you like, and the toppings and the monkfish cuts too. The fish is very fresh, and they only use ingredients prepared that same day, so it feels like a healthy meal.
Location and opening hours
The address is 440-6 Buil-ro, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, on the first floor. It's open 16:00–05:00 on weekdays and 12:00–05:00 on weekends, and they say it closes early once the day's prepared seafood and monkfish are sold out.

It's close to Bucheon Station and right on the ground floor, so it should be easy to find.

There's a standing sign out front too, so when you spot the tempting-looking monkfish stew, just walk in. Haemul Teukbyeolsi is a seafood specialist where you can really enjoy a stone-plate seafood meal that keeps boiling to the end.

Is there a wait at Haemul Teukbyeolsi near Bucheon Station?
I visited on a weekday evening and, luckily, ate with no wait. The restaurant was introduced on KBS2's Saengsaeng Jeongbo 'God of Business' (장사의 신) in the stone-plate seafood stew episode on March 18, 2026, and perhaps because it's a place with waits, they also had a waiting list sheet to write your name on.
Interior and atmosphere
The inside of Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch is quite spacious.

There are lots of round tables, so it looked good for families, and the mood and setting were just right for a good monkfish stew. Everything looked clean and hygienically kept overall.

How to order and the review event
You order on the kiosk at each table. If you leave a review, you get the squid or octopus topping at half price, so leave a review and enjoy even tastier seafood stew or monkfish stew.

Side dishes and corn cheese
There were wasabi and soy sauce for dipping,

and the staff bring water to you.

They also served seaweed soup, seaweed sheets and white kimchi by default. All of it went really well with the monkfish stew.

And the corn cheese you can't skip with monkfish stew came out really generous too. The portion was ample and they piled on the cheese without holding back, so it was fun watching it stretch with every bite. The savory cheese and sweet corn went together really well, and it was even better with the spicy monkfish stew. I recommend ordering them together.

Mini monkfish stew with whole squid and shrimp: how is the boneless fish?
And now, the main event: the monkfish stew! I added whole squid and shrimp toppings to the mini monkfish stew. Haemul Teukbyeolsi lets you choose boneless monkfish, so I went with boneless to make it easy to eat.

It's packed with fresh seafood, and it felt like eating a whole spread from the sea in a single monkfish stew. The whole squid in particular was really plump, so you can tell right away they use fresh seafood.

On top of that, the boneless monkfish was really tender, and I'm sure anyone, young or old, would enjoy it. You can also adjust the spice level and choose how hot you like it.
