Jonggak salad shop, solo lunch: sriracha chicken tofu noodles, Wystab
In short
Wystab Diet Gwanghwamun is a protein box salad shop in Jongno, Seoul, on the basement level of the Olive Young building in Pimatgol, between Jonggak Station and Gwanghwamun Station. After a weekday morning shift, the writer reordered the chicken tofu noodle protein box (₩10,900) with sriracha sauce for a solo lunch, adding pumpkin soup and Greek yogurt on the side. With 150g of chicken breast and seasoned tofu noodles, one plate was filling, and because the food is ready in 3–5 minutes, Wystab Diet Gwanghwamun suits a short solo lunch break.

Today's stop is Wystab Diet Gwanghwamun, a great solo-lunch salad spot in Gwanghwamun! I had enjoyed it recently, so after my morning shift I came back for lunch near Jonggak Station. It's right by Jonggak and Gwanghwamun, so it's perfect for a lunch near the office, the shop is clean, and the menu works well for eating alone. Highly recommended~

The shop is on the basement level of the Olive Young building in Pimatgol, between Exit 1 of Jonggak Station and Exit 4 of Gwanghwamun Station, so it's super easy to reach for office workers nearby at lunchtime haha. Big glass windows let you see the tidy interior, and the orange accents on the exterior make it stand out!

How do you order at Wystab Gwanghwamun?
The kiosk for ordering and paying is outside the shop, so you can pay and wait even before you walk in. Both dine-in and takeout are available haha

Wystab protein box menu
Wystab's protein boxes come in five main types by protein topping: chicken, smoked duck, beef and salmon, plus a mala (numbing-spicy) version. A big standing sign lists every menu by type with price ranges, so it's handy to check from outside! Beyond that, there's a light version with just vegetables and protein, and you can pick pasta, oats, tofu noodles or cauliflower rice for more variety.

If you join the review event, you get a cold drink as a freebie, so I think it's worth doing if you want one! (You have to post it with a photo of your food haha)
Why I chose tofu noodles over pasta
The nutrition facts for the protein boxes are posted on the wall, so if you're on a diet you can choose by calories. I was torn between pasta and tofu noodles too, and I went with tofu noodles after checking the calories haha

The inside of the Gwanghwamun shop is bright and clean, and it's kept spotless. Some of you will order delivery or takeout, but having eaten in person, I think you can order with peace of mind if it's kept this well haha

What I ordered and the prices
- Chicken tofu noodle protein box ₩10,900
- Greek yogurt ₩3,900
- Pumpkin soup ₩3,500
- Pepsi Zero ₩2,000

Is the chicken tofu noodle protein box still good the second time?
I'd had the chicken and tofu noodle combo before and loved it, so I ordered it again! Every menu at Wystab Gwanghwamun is ready within 3–5 minutes of ordering, which is great for a quick bite on a short lunch break haha

There's a full 150g of chicken breast, so this one plate alone leaves you properly full, and the chicken was really good.

Recommended sauces: teriyaki vs sriracha
I took the recommended sauce, and the chicken tofu noodle protein box comes with two choices: teriyaki and sriracha. I wanted a little heat, so I chose sriracha, and it was mildly spicy with a savory depth that paired nicely with the chicken~

This chicken tofu noodle protein box is packed with tofu noodles..! The noodles themselves are seasoned, so you don't need to dip much sauce and it's still flavorful.

The vegetables include chickpeas, lettuce, green beans, broccoli, bell pepper, olives and onion flakes, and none were wilted or mushy; everything was fresh and crunchy haha

Pumpkin soup and Greek yogurt on the side
Pumpkin soup ₩3,500
Wystab's pumpkin soup is something I've been getting hooked on lately 😆 I kept thinking, why did I only try something this good now? It's sweet and addictive!

The pumpkin soup comes piping hot, and with the weather getting colder, it's nice to order one and warm up. It goes down easily thanks to the sweetness, and the portion is really big, so I think it works as a snack too!

Greek yogurt ₩3,900
Wystab's Greek yogurt is a light side of thick Greek yogurt with blueberries, cereal and fructo-oligosaccharide syrup. The portion is surprisingly big and it's a nice palate cleanser, so I recommend ordering it with a salad~
That was Wystab Diet Gwanghwamun, a solo-lunch salad spot in Gwanghwamun and a go-to for Jonggak Station office workers 🥬
