Haeundae dessert spot after dinner: apple crumble at Smith's Farm

Today I'm sharing a great Haeundae spot for get-togethers: I had delicious coffee and desserts with a friend at Smith's Farm (스미스씨네farm → 스미스씨네농장). I loved the atmosphere, the food and the service, so if you're looking for a Haeundae place that ticks all those boxes, no questions asked, I recommend Smith's Farm in Haeundae~!

Smith's Farm (스미스씨네농장) is at 31 Haeundae-ro 483beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It is open Monday to Thursday and Sunday 11:00–22:00, and Friday and Saturday 11:00–22:00.

Why I picked Smith's Farm for round two after dinner in Haeundae

After a nice meal with a friend in Haeundae, we headed to Smith's Farm for sweet desserts and coffee 🤍

I had actually been here once before for the Western menu. I remembered being happy with everything from the atmosphere to the taste, and I'd been wanting to come back someday.

This time we came as our second stop, for the café menu rather than a meal.

The apple crumble, Smith's Farm's signature handmade dessert, caught my eye, and as someone who loves desserts, there was no way I wasn't trying it 😝

Desserts and drinks we ordered at Smith's Farm

We ordered the apple crumble, an Americano, a vanilla latte, and the Santi Garden ade, said to be a popular drink here! Just coffee felt like a waste, so we added a signature drink to try a bit of everything 💕

Good coffee with a sweet apple crumble would make the perfect after-meal treat, so we ordered right away along with the coffee!

What does the apple crumble taste like?

Smith's Farm's apple crumble combines crisp crumble, nutty flavor and handmade apple jam, and it went perfectly with coffee. The dessert I was most looking forward to won me over the moment it arrived with its cute look 🍰 It was so appetizing and tiny that I took several photos before even eating.

One bite and I immediately understood why it's such a good partner for coffee.

The crunchy crumble texture is great, and the nutty flavor and the sweet handmade apple jam in between work wonderfully together. The jam especially wasn't overly sweet; it kept that apple flavor, with a healthy, pleasant sweetness that I loved!

With the crumble and nuts it's fun to chew, and the sweet and nutty flavors blend so well that I kept reaching for more 😍 And just as we expected, it's a perfect match with coffee! A sip of warm coffee with a bite of sweet apple crumble was an ideal after-meal dessert.

How were the Americano and vanilla latte?

The coffee at Smith's Farm was as satisfying as the desserts. The Americano I ordered had a nice nutty richness that went well with the sweet apple crumble.

My friend's vanilla latte came with the vanilla syrup served separately~? I liked that you can adjust the amount of syrup yourself and get the sweetness you want. If you like sweet lattes, add plenty of syrup, and if very sweet coffee is too much, just add as much as suits your taste.

What is the Santi Garden ade?

I'd heard the Santi Garden ade is a popular drink at Smith's Farm, so I ordered this tea ade out of curiosity 🍹 It's said to let you enjoy the flavors of the three great black teas along with sweet fruit and flowers, and first of all, it looked really pretty ✨

The bright colors liven up the table just by sitting there, you know? 😳 I enjoyed the fresh taste typical of Uva black tea and the refreshing tang I'd hoped for, and the fruit and floral notes blended to give it a charm different from an ordinary ade.

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something different from coffee, or anyone who likes a fragrant, refreshing tea ade~~! 🌸 It would also be perfect for pretty SNS photos when you visit with friends.

How was the service at Smith's Farm?

What stayed with me most that day at Smith's Farm was the service, which was as impressive as the delicious menu. We were enjoying our desserts and drinks and chatting away with my friend.

The owner and staff were all really kind, and checked in from time to time to ask whether the food was okay and whether we needed anything 🙂 It wasn't just serving what we ordered; you could feel they wanted to hear how guests felt, which left a very good impression haha

But that wasn't all . . 🥹 We had ordered only desserts and drinks, yet they kept bringing out free dessert after free dessert. I felt like I'd fallen into an endless loop of freebies~!

By then I wondered whether I had ordered a dessert course, and we couldn't stop laughing with my friend 😂 They even brought out the banana brûlée I had hesitated over when choosing between it and the apple crumble, so I got to try what I'd wanted too.

Then came a tiny ice cream with a cute carrot-shaped spoon stuck in it! 🍨 Every dessert looked so adorable . . it was fun taking photos before eating 🤳

At the end they even gave us fresh grapefruit, cut so it was easy to eat, and I was so grateful ❤️ After enjoying sweet desserts to the full, finishing with refreshing fruit cleansed the palate and felt like a proper dessert course.

Of course, the free items may vary depending on the day and situation, but this day will go down as one when my food luck really exploded!!

Above all, the owner and staff were all thoughtful, kind and even funny, so I spent the whole time happy and relaxed. Good food matters, but a warm attitude toward guests is one of the big reasons you want to come back to a place, right? In that sense, Smith's Farm left me with a good memory again this time, just like my previous visit 😌

I first remembered it as a restaurant with great Western food, but now it's firmly saved in my heart as a Haeundae spot with great desserts too~!🫶🏻 Another plus is that you can enjoy both a meal and a café in one place without moving around!

Smith's Farm space: good for get-togethers and wedding invitation meetups?

Smith's Farm is a spacious, pleasant place with a variety of seating, and its distinctive farm-themed interior makes it a fine spot for friend gatherings or dates. It's good for a two-person hangout, and the atmosphere seemed more than fine for group meetups or a private meal too.

It also welcomes toddlers, and I actually saw families who had come with kids~~ It looked good for family meals with children, and for moms to enjoy a relaxed brunch together.

Especially, the table next to us was having a wedding invitation meetup (cheongmo, where you hand out wedding invitations to friends over a meal), and watching them I suddenly wished I had held mine here. Mine is already over, but I thought I'd like my friends' to be held here in the future 😙

With a nice atmosphere and everything from meals to desserts in one place, isn't it perfect for gatherings? Two visits to Smith's Farm: would I go back?

Next time I want to go back to Smith's Farm with my husband and have the Western dishes again after a while. And of course the apple crumble for dessert can't be skipped, right? 🍎
