Cleansing balm for a non-greasy rinse: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal
In short
I tried HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal Moisturizing Cleansing Balm as my skin felt dry with the changing season. The black balm melted easily, emulsified into a milky texture, and rinsed without a slippery residue; it left my skin feeling moist and smooth rather than tight.

How did it feel when my skin was dry underneath?

I used it when my skin condition declined with the changing season. When I neglect my routine, my skin feels very dry underneath, and after strongly cleansing products it can feel parched or sting, so I tend to choose cleansing products carefully.

On the other hand, I worried that overly rich formulas would leave residue or sit on top of my skin. I tried this cleansing balm while looking for something I could use on makeup days that would be less likely to leave my skin feeling tight after washing.
How did the black balm melt on my skin?

When I opened it, the deep black balm texture stood out first. I scooped it with the included spatula and applied it to my face; although it looked firm, it melted lightly on contact with my skin temperature without clumping or feeling stiff.

As I massaged it, the balm turned oil-like and moved smoothly between my fingers and skin. It did not feel stuffy even on makeup days, and on days when my skin felt sensitive, I could use it without rubbing hard.

How were the emulsification process and finish after rinsing?

After lightly massaging it in its oil state, I wet my hands and massaged again. The blackish formula turned a milky color, and it rolled more lightly once mixed with water.

After emulsifying it thoroughly and rinsing with lukewarm water, I did not notice a slippery or stuffy residue. Right after washing, my skin felt more moist and smooth than parched.
How did I use it on areas with sebum and blackheads?

On areas where I was concerned about sebum and blackheads, such as around my nose, my T-zone, and under my chin, I spent a little more time massaging before adding water and during emulsification. The next day, my skin texture felt smoother, and my basic skincare seemed to adhere well too.

If you are concerned about tightness beneath the skin after strong cleansing but find balm residue burdensome, my experience may be useful to consider.
