Centum City cake shop for a screen golf surprise birthday: Sijeunikeu
In short
Sijeunikeu Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Branch is a premium cake shop on the B1 floor of Shinsegae Department Store at Centum City Station in Haeundae, Busan. For a birthday shared by the blogger's younger brother and his partner, the blogger picked up a Mango Farm Warreuru cake in an insulated bag and threw a surprise party at a screen golf room; even eaten as dessert the next day, the cake was packed with mango and its fresh cream was not too sweet. Sijeunikeu is an easy place to grab a celebration cake after shopping and a meal.

What is Sijeunikeu Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Branch like?
Today I'm introducing a cake spot near Centum City Station in Busan that's great for special days. I visited Sijeunikeu Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Branch while preparing a surprise birthday party for my younger brother and his girlfriend.

Sijeunikeu is a premium cake shop with branches in Daegu and Gangnam, plus the Shinsegae Centum City branch I visited! Since it's inside the department store, it's easy to drop by while shopping, and it's a really great spot for picking up a cake when you have plans in Centum City. So it's a good choice for anyone looking for a café near Centum City Station too.

They say Sijeunikeu uses only 100% animal-based fresh cream and follows a make-it-and-sell-it-the-same-day rule. They use fresh fruit delivered every dawn and bake their own sponge without emulsifiers, which made me trust it even more.

Summer seasonal menu: Peach Farm Warreuru and Mango Farm Warreuru
When I visited it was peach and mango season, so the Peach Farm Warreuru and Mango Farm Warreuru were on display. As the names suggest ("warreuru" means tumbling down), they're piled high with fruit, and just looking at them made me happy! There were also No. 1 whole cakes, tarts, tiramisu and more, so there's plenty to choose from.

Candles, packaging and parking
Being inside the department store, it was nice and cool to browse even in hot summer, and it's a perfect stop after a meal or shopping. They give you as many basic candles as you need, and number and letter candles can be bought separately, which makes birthdays and anniversaries easy to prepare.

If you can refrigerate the cake within 1 hour, regular packaging is fine, and if you still have plans like I did, they can pack it in an insulated bag (extra charge). Shinsegae Points and parking support were available too, which was convenient.

A surprise birthday party at the screen golf room
That day we shopped, had a meal, and then set up a surprise birthday party at a screen golf room. While they were in the restroom I quickly stuck in one candle and lit it. It came together faster than expected and we all laughed a lot.

We sang happy birthday and took tons of photos and videos. One tasty cake made the mood so much more special, and it was a birthday party I'm really happy with even looking back. It made me think that bringing a cake from a café near Centum City Station is a sure bet for moments like this.
At first we thought about eating it together, but they told us to take it home and enjoy it slowly, so it went back into the box.

How does the Mango Farm Warreuru taste?
They kept it in the fridge and ate it the next day as dessert after lunch, and said they loved how much mango was in it. The fruit was very sweet and the fresh cream wasn't too sugary, so it was easy to eat. Personally I think it would be even better with a glass of cold milk, and next time I want to try the Peach Farm Warreuru.

If you're preparing a cake for a special day or looking for an anniversary gift cake, this is a satisfying place! If you want a spot near Centum City Station where you can shop and pick up a lovely cake at the same time, I recommend dropping by Sijeunikeu.
