Rainy drive to a Pocheon steak restaurant: Hanwoo striploin, Eoneu Dal
In short
Eoneu Dal (어느달) is a steak and pasta restaurant on Jeongmundong-gil in Pocheon, Gyeonggi, near Pocheon Art Valley. On a rainy weekend drive, the writer ordered Hanwoo striploin steak, beef tomato pasta and a salmon salad at Eoneu Dal and especially remembered the spacious white-toned dining room decorated with yellow flowers. Verdict: the beef tomato pasta sauce at Eoneu Dal is good enough to pile onto the bread, and the Hanwoo striploin steak is a must-order.

Why I picked Eoneu Dal for a rainy-day drive in Pocheon
Eoneu Dal (어느달) sits on Jeongmundong-gil, close to Pocheon Art Valley, so it works for a meal before or after the Art Valley or as a stop on a rainy-day drive. It was a rainy weekend! Staying home felt like a waste and I wanted to go somewhere, so we headed to Pocheon for a drive. While we were at it, I looked for a nice restaurant nearby and ended up at Eoneu Dal, a well-known Pocheon Art Valley eatery!
It's close to Pocheon Art Valley, so it seemed perfect for a meal before or after sightseeing, and for a rainy-day drive too, haha.

Is parking easy at Eoneu Dal in Pocheon?
Yes, there's a big parking area in front, so it's easy to come by car. The parking lot was the first thing I liked when we arrived! It passed the test right away, haha.
Anyway! Let's go inside, haha.
Eoneu Dal's atmosphere and seating
The inside is clean white-toned decor with yellow flowers as an accent, and the tables are spaced generously. It felt bright yet calm when we walked in~
A lot of restaurants these days are too dark or have tables crammed together, but Eoneu Dal is spacious with tables set well apart, so we could stay and eat comfortably.

One side has a big table that looks good for groups, so it seemed fine for a couple's date, a family meal or eating out with kids. It isn't stiffly formal, more of a clean, relaxed casual dining feel, so I think nearly anyone would be happy here, haha.

How ordering works and what's on the menu
You order through the QR code on the table, and the menu is more varied than I expected: steak, pasta, salad, pilaf, risotto and more. You don't have to wait for a printed menu; you can check it and order right at your seat, which was handy!

After some deliberation, we ordered the Hanwoo (Korean beef) striploin steak, the beef tomato pasta and the salmon salad, haha.

After ordering, bread and pickles came out first. The bread was served warm and soft, and it was just right as a light bite before the mains! And then, finally, the main dishes arrived!!

How is the salmon salad at Eoneu Dal?
The salmon salad is thick slices of salmon on fresh greens, and it was the first dish we tried.

With thick salmon on fresh vegetables, it looked really appetizing from the start.

The salmon was fresh too, and it's a salad that goes nicely alongside the mains, haha.

Beef tomato pasta: dip the bread in that sauce
The beef tomato pasta has a rich tomato sauce packed with minced beef, topped with tender beef. Next up was the one I was most looking forward to, the beef tomato pasta! The presentation... is it not almost a work of art?! I took a ton of photos as soon as it came out, haha.

The rich tomato sauce is full of minced beef and there's tender beef on top, so it was much more generous and filling than I expected!
The tomato acidity isn't strong, so it's easy to eat, and the sauce soaked well into the noodles, so I enjoyed it to the very end, haha.

The sauce was so good that I put some on the bread... and it goes really well together too!!! If you order the beef tomato spaghetti, definitely try it this way!! Absolutely delicious...

Anyway!! If you like tomato pasta, this isn't optional, it's a must, haha.
Hanwoo striploin steak: doneness and sides
The Hanwoo striploin steak came golden outside and juicy inside, and we ate it with mashed potatoes, whole grain mustard, asparagus and grilled mushrooms. And last up... today's highlight!! The Hanwoo striploin steak!!! It passes on looks alone... Anyway!! Enough admiring!!
I cut it into bite-sized pieces first~ The grain of the meat was so good that even the feel of slicing was different, haha.

The doneness was a work of art too: golden outside, moist inside, and you could see the juices the moment I cut it.

I picked up a piece and dunked it in the mashed potatoes... wow, this was seriously so good, haha. Tender Hanwoo striploin plus nutty, creamy mashed potatoes, and it just melts in your mouth..?!

It's good with the whole grain mustard in between too, and with the asparagus and grilled mushrooms the combination was really great, haha.

Who should go to Eoneu Dal in Pocheon?
The food was good, but what I remember most is the atmosphere. The clean white decor with pretty flowers makes for great photos, and the calm mood made me think it would be really nice for a date, haha.
I especially hope you'll try the Hanwoo striploin steak! I was happy with everything from the doneness to the quality of the meat, and the sauce on the beef tomato spaghetti was so good that I liked it enough to dip bread in it, haha.

That was Eoneu Dal in Pocheon, a rainy-weekend drive stop! It's a nice-atmosphere restaurant that gets both flavor and mood right, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat near Art Valley, a good pasta spot in Pocheon, or somewhere for a family meal in Pocheon. If you want steak and pasta somewhere pleasant on a Pocheon drive day, it's worth saving Eoneu Dal, haha.
