Jongno pizza pub with my son near Cheonggyecheon: Backstreet Pizza

Backstreet Pizza is a great stop on a Cheonggyecheon outing, so it works really well as a Jongno date spot! I had a weekend date with my son at Backstreet Pizza ♥ After eating, we also took a good walk along Cheonggyecheon. ^^

Tips for finding Backstreet Pizza in Jongno 3-ga

The best way to reach Backstreet Pizza is from the Exit 5 side of Jongno 3-ga Station. It's a pizza place with a great vibe tucked in an alley, but we were out wandering around Jongno and ended up going in through the back alley. The back alley is narrow and dark... it really is... I'd recommend coming from the Jongno 3-ga Station side if you can!

When you open the door of Backstreet Pizza, there's a steep staircase like the one in the photo! Please be careful going down~ ^^

What's the atmosphere like at Backstreet Pizza?

Backstreet Pizza is a basement space with a lovely pizza pub feel! Maybe because it's such a good mood for a Jongno date, everyone there seemed to be a couple, you know? And me? A Jongno date with my kid, haha.

The lighting is darker than it looks in the photos! It's a perfect mood for pizza with a beer. ^^

The self-bar at Backstreet Pizza is set up on one side! You grab water, hot sauce and Parmesan cheese yourself here. We took some Parmesan to our table too.

The signature menu at Backstreet Pizza is Quarter Street! The R size is 13 inches (recommended for 2–3 people) and the L size is 17 inches (recommended for 3–5 people), so keep that in mind when you order. ^^

Cheese & Patty Bomb: a slice that tastes like a cheeseburger

Cheese & Patty Bomb at Backstreet Pizza is topped with a beef patty, jalapeños, pickles, tomato and rich cheddar cheese, so it reminds you of a cheeseburger! There's a little spiciness, but overall it was savory and easygoing!

Shrimp Gangster: generous, big shrimp

Plump shrimp toppings are the charm of Shrimp Gangster at Backstreet Pizza! There's really a generous amount of shrimp~ and they're big, so the texture is great. If you like shrimp, you absolutely have to get this one ♥

Pepperoni Shotgun: piled high with pepperoni

Pepperoni Shotgun at Backstreet Pizza, can you see how much pepperoni is stacked on it? It's loaded, so the pepperoni definitely makes its presence known! You get the flavor of pepperoni that's a little spicy and salty.

Potato Killer: crispy fries topped with honey

Potato Killer at Backstreet Pizza comes topped with French fries, and even though I ate this slice last after the others, the fries were still crispy! The amount of fries is truly enormous~~ And with sweet honey drizzled over them, the crispy-and-sweet combo is so good. ^^ It was a menu where you can fully feel the charm of fries piled up to the point of spilling over!

Is a Quarter Street R enough for two people?

Quarter Street R is recommended for 2–3 people, but as a meal it's just right for two! My son polished off 4 slices by himself, you know? If you're a good eater, 4 slices is doable, haha. I was full and left some, lol. (You can take leftover pizza to go!)

I enjoyed all four flavors, but the ones I personally want to recommend are Shrimp Gangster and Potato Killer! Both have generous toppings and taste great, so they left me very satisfied. ^^
