Ttoksuni Agujjim Jamsil Direct Branch is a monkfish stew (agujjim) restaurant in Bangi-dong, Songpa, Seoul, near Hanseongbaekje Station. After work with coworkers, the set menu at Ttoksuni came in order: fried squid, meaty monkfish stew at Shin Ramyun spice level, clear cod soup packed with minari (water dropwort), and flying fish roe fried rice topped with a runny fried egg. Bangi-dong bar for a wedding-invite meetup, then a date: Jojomomo

Jojomomo (조조모모) is a Korean gastropub in a basement tucked inside the Bangi-dong food alley in Songpa, Seoul. After a first visit for a wedding-invitation gathering with a friend, the writer returned a few days later for a second-round date at the Jojomomo bar seats, ordering Jangsu omija liquor, gamtae seaweed scallop jjim, tuna and aged-kimchi rolls, a pollock roe cheese potato pancake and warm anchovy noodles. With dim antique decor, a choice of glass and a welcome drink, Jojomomo is a good pick for blind dates and group gatherings too.
